    I have a warm spot for the Savage bolt action rifle. Inexpensive, accurate, and a good value. The bolt though, will never be more than it is. Develop a lighter touch, you can cycle it quickly without binding - get sloppy with it, and it'll let you know.

    Badger still carries some KRG W3 folding chassis that were inlet by KRG before they (KRG) discontinued the short action. Being a flat bottomed action whose action screws match the R700, it would be an easy inlet on a R700 backbone. Badger has the drawings on their web site.

    Your borescope lens likely is a wide field of view and if not centered in the bore will make the lands on one side appear longer than the side the scope is closer to. Move the borescope around, or wrap tape around the borescope head so it has less clearance to the lands and check again.
