Anything reasonably flat will work, countertop, table, chuck it in a drill and see how true it runs, etc, etc.
If you’re getting baffle strikes, you have serious problems, most likely in your muzzle threading or attachment.

I use a carbon arrow as well - Beeman ICS Hunter 340 (9.3 grains per inch) for 30 caliber. Wrap a piece of tape around the shaft to keep it from falling down the barrel; works perfectly!
Dandy 2 speed trickler with auto stop for use with balance beam scales. Can be used either way.
Bought this lightly used years ago but I never set it up. Stored without batteries so the compartment is like new.

Had a barreled action in it, removed and boxed up again a couple years ago, been in the closet since. 2 tiny handling marks on the bottom of buttstock, otherwise like new; faint outline from bolting up the action - very faint.

Have approximately 740 pieces of mixed headstamp 357 magnum brass with a little bit of nickel casings in there as well.
Looks to have been cleaned.
