    6.5x47 Lapua

That probably says more about the consistency of your barrel with the bullet than it does the powder. N150 did well for me in one of my x47Ls.

    Avoiding Pickpockets in Europe?

I just wear my tight cowboy britches, and nobody tries to dig their hands into my pockets... Might find more than a wallet.

    Retro-ish build parts list comments?

I see you're letting Matt talk you into stuff, although I thought that he might prefer Manners. FWIW, he and I borescoped my latest CRB, just to see the quality of machining work... and it is everything one could want (here's where the borescope haters are going to chime in).

    Retro-ish build parts list comments?

It is a build to suit what you find aesthetically pleasing... so I'd ignore the inevitable gasps that you would build anything other than what somebody else wants. I'll also echo the others who suggested a different barrel. Perhaps a Bartlein would up that pseudo M24ish feel for you, or one of...

Using Tape on the back of a loaded round to check or set headspace. . . .

Yeah, Im still waiting for an invite to be able to attend one of Terry's courses. Just 'cause I ain't a pro, or LEO/agency dude... doesn't mean that I can't share the best dick jokes on class for a couple days. I will bring my tape...

It was just self defense kids!!

If showing me destroyed 'moose-limb' cities is supposed to bother me, consider it ineffective at best. A few rotations over there will have even the heartiest of deniers of cultural inferiority eating their words with the same hand they just wiped their ass with. The only reason they aren't...

    6gt

Shhhhhhhhh! We don't share how awesome N150 is in the GT. That's how all our supply dries up.

    6gt

I bet you N160 would fit that bill. Full disclosure: I haven't tried it in the GT, but have in other cartridges. Typically takes more powder to get the same velocity in 6 and 6.5 CM as well as .260 Rem.

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

^ 100% accurate. Has been that way since at least the '90's. They only cut the fun stuff though when it gets hot. I can also promise you, that even though dudes were still dropping like flies... that 'essential activities' include basically everything as long as it fit on the training...

    Blue jeans are racist!

Jealousy comes in many forms. If these whales were as concerned with - and put as much effort into - making themselves attractive as they were trying to take down the women who were attractive, they'd be getting a lot more attention from men (and not be all over the internet screaming whatever...

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

We've got two out here, and they only play stuff from the 50's - 90's. I have to drive 45 minutes before I get anywhere that I'm forced to listen to that pop-couhtry garbage. I'll gladly listen to either "Who's gonna fill their shoes" or "Blue eyes cryin' in the rain" (or sometimes both) every...

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

The local country station here plays about 20 songs over and over again... old Conway Twitty and his Tight Fittin' Jeans being one of them. Made many a roll hay to that song as well.

Bedding a Bergara Sierra (plastic stock)

Yes. Anything short of milling out the forend and placing metal support in there is still going to result in a stock forend that will flex. Really, it is the same with the wrist of the stock too. The result is that every time you put yourself in a different position, there will be a change in...

Bedding a Bergara Sierra (plastic stock)

If you don't machine or epoxy in a metal rod to strengthen the forend... you can expect the stock to still flex under pressure (you can easily pinch the stock and barrel together by hand and make them touch). This may not affect accuracy as much as one might think (but it also can a lot as...

Reloading to accuracy on bolt action

You have no clue about the terminology of what you're talking about here, do you? This isn't an insult, this was an attempt to assist you. When you are chambering a loaded round (and not a case), the process of you forcing the bullet into its final seating position into the lands by running...

Reloading to accuracy on bolt action

As someone else also stated above, you might be using "case" and "cartridge" interchangeably. Jamming a bullet (cartridge) is still popular in some circles - but you can run into pressure much faster than jumping. Jamming a case (the brass case itself) into the chamber wouldn't seat a bullet...
