    XM7 worries from the field.

I am fully confident that all of this peacetime fuckery is predicated on a statistically insignificant number of occasions where the Bad Guys had more range than the Good Guys did in Afghanistan, the U.S. Army valuing technical solutions to training, education, and planning problems, and Black...

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

I miss declarative sentences. “My focus is on selling Company X’s product, not comparing it to others. Therefore I won’t share my opinions regarding comparisons.” Or… “At present I am loyal to Company X for Reason Y. Since I want to ensure I can switch company loyalties if it is...

    Toughest scope mounts?

Better would be a press release that says “If you bought Product X from MONTH YEAR to MONTH YEAR your product has a design flaw of DESCRIPTION. Contact us and we will upgrade your Product X for free and pay for shipping both ways.” -Stan

    Toughest scope mounts?

While Spuhr fixed the problem, did they ever acknowledge its existence? Also, did Spuhr ever announce that from X date forward they are using steel side clamps and / or offer to replace the previous aluminum clamps for free? -Stan

Precision Rifle Gear Accutac WB-4 vs Atlas bt10 for prone shooting

I have owned Harris and Accutac. I chose Accutac based on the YouTube review of @The4GunGuy. To be able to use the Accutac Sled Feet, I just switched from the SR5 to the WB5. For me, not only is the WB5 sturdier, especially with the Sled Feet, but it seems to fit a great middle ground...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Better to find out at home than when you are in a situation where you have to quickly transition from butt stroking an enemy cranium to shooting 2 MOA targets at 1,000 yards. -Stan

    Prism Scope Field of View

Background that I didn’t add, I loves me some Leupold MK5 5-25x, which is decried by many as “looking through a soda straw.” I bought the 1.5x ACOG, wow, if the MK5 is a soda straw the ACOG is a coffee stirrer. The ACOG was returned within minutes of unboxing. I then bought three of the...

    Prism Scope Field of View

Thank you. Accounting for magnification then, what are the numbers of the 1x as compared to the 1.5x that I described above? I am not a Mathlete. -Stan

    Prism Scope Field of View

Thank you. It is still interesting that the widest FOV ACOG, the 1.5x16mm, is 39 feet at 100 yards, while the Trijicon Accupoint 1-6x, is 117.5 feet at 100 yards at 1x. Barring the magnification differences between 1.5x and 1x the FOV differences are still quite large. -Stan
