    It surprises me that people use that AR stuff given how punctilious we reloaders are about same lot, humidity, book max, 0.02 grains resolution, "to the kernel", runout, primer depth etc Then shoot a completely unknown and unlabeled powder? Weird.

    I don’t know for sure about the 500 Smith & Wesson Magnum but the 460 Smith & Wesson Magnum uses rifle primers not pistol primers. Load the 460 using pistol primers and you are gonna have a regrettable day. Ask me how I know

    Blast shield and weights added I like the setup a lot for comfortable shooting. But if you’re in the USA, find an AR50 brake or a K&P clam shell style brake, rather than a shark (fish gill) style brake.

    Been there brother. I also changed my bipod to an EI along the way, and learned to get scopes w a forgiving eyebox to allow more flexibility to build a good shooting position to handle the recoil 338 separates boys and amateurs from men and experts for sure

    IMO, yes. The effect is real, and dramatic, esp with hot temps and long(er) strings. I smoked a 375 bbl in 500 rounds
