Vintage AI rifle or modern AI rifle?

I agree, I much prefer the AW mags.

Based on that one photo it doesn't appear to be damaged at that point.

Were you made aware of this damage prior to the trade?

KAC vs Radian Model 1 vs JP enterprises ctr-02

I have multiple KAC and LMT rifles and while I see them as the most reliable "go to war/SHTF" type rifles on the market, none of them are what I'd consider "match grade" accuracy, at least not in stock form. I have quite a few D. Wilson LMT converted Proof Carbon Fiber barrels and they are solid...

Vintage AI rifle or modern AI rifle?

Small Firing Pin. And like @Downtown suggested, you can have an older LFP bushed to reduce it to a SFP, I had that done on my 2012 AX. These rifles tend to pop up for sale in waves, just keep a look out in the PX and you’ll find one for sale soon enough.

Vintage AI rifle or modern AI rifle?

AT is by far the best buy with the most bang for your buck in terms of features like a few have already mentioned above in detail. Keep an eye out for a SFP AT and I bet you can still snag one for around $4K if not a touch more.

Do any vendors even have a Magnus S-RR in stock?

    6arc bolt gun

    I'd go 22.

    Suppressors TBAC Magnus

I am leaning Magnus S-RR for my AT-XC shooting short action stuff like 6.5 PRC/6.5 Creed/308/6 Creed. I have been running my hunting can on there lately, the Ultra 7 Gen 2 and I'd like it back to full time dedicated hunting use.

RRS TFCT 14L w Anvil 30 too heavy for backpack backcountry hunting?

I use my 33, never gave it a second thought about slightly lighter options. I am picky about what goes in my pack and if hunting with others make sure you aren't redundant on items that aren't necessary.

    Nx8 2.5-20 vs mk 5 3.6-18?

Of the two I'd go Mk5 HD 3.6-18x, IMHO it's the better optic all around.

No clue, can honestly say I've never had one feel rough or sticky. Have you ever tried a dry film lube on the bolt body?

The wide range of opinions here tells me that we all desire and/or expect different things.

I haven't had an AT side by side to the XC to do a direct comparison and I sold my AT-LE a few years back so I am operating off of old memories but I don't recall it being all that different. The other advancements in the chassis mean a lot more to me than the bolt feel but I realize I might be...

It gets better and I personally don't understand the desire to have a slicker than goose shit bolt like so many desire. You run an AI in an agricultural way, it becomes second nature and you don't think twice about it after a few hundred rounds. You'll like that larger bolt handle too.
