I've been getting a few questions on whether the turrets are locking vs non-locking. These are the locking turrets and it seems the preferable option, so the price has been reduced and the scope is available separate from the mount.

Speaking of Berger 168 Classic Hunters, these are 2, 10 shot groups shot on separate days with an M1A.

Short history on the scope in question. Purchased a 5-25x56 FFP ATACR in May. Zeroed at 100 yards and quick box test, everything seemed to line up. Shortly after I started seeing groups open up and not be consistent from one day to the next and a 1/2 or 3/4 five shot group would be 2" the next...
The K328i is more a mid-size than compact but it's still small enough for what it's going on. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot thinking one of the 20X scopes is so optically superior that I won't miss the extra 8X that the Kahles provides.
So as the title suggests, I need a compact scope and the only one I've ever owned are several NF 4-16x42's, which is not one of the scopes I will be considering due to the minimum magnification of 20X. Above all else the most important part of this decision is the GLASS.

No one ever seems to talk about the NF 4-16x50 SFP. It certainly isn't great at anything but down low at 4X that reticle is very easy on the eyes. Had no trouble using it at a mile on a 7 SAUM after I sold the gas gun it was originally on. It's quite affordable and has the bomb proof...
It's a shorter barrel so it may need a faster powder than Retumbo. And If I can get 2700-2750 out of it, I'll be happy. If what I have on hand doesn't give me what I want, that will be the next option.
That sucks. Mine were all good to go. I also started with S&B during that time and completely migrated over to them before backing away and getting into NF.
I believe N565 was the direct result of what VV liked about N560 and N570 and tried to combine those attributes into a more stable powder for military applications. I have seen less speed and more consistency with it then N570,
