    CZ 457 MTR Scope rings

Low will work and provide a better cheek weld. However the general wisdom is to go higher. I recently changed from approx 1.2" to 1.5" tall rings and found it to be a much more comfortable shooting experience. It should be easy enough to source some sort of cheek riser if you go for the higher...

Rifle Scopes Experiences and Reliability with the Kahles K540i?

It seems like a range of things, from the whole turret being loose to it not holding zero. Most of the scopes I know of have been away for repair and come back again, will have to wait and see how they hold up. One of the scopes I know of is a guy who is sponsored by Kahles and had it fail...

Rifle Scopes Experiences and Reliability with the Kahles K540i?

I know of 3 people who have bought these and all of then had to send them back for elevation turret issues. One was broken before even got mounted on a rifle, the other was on a 22lr, so it's not a recoil thing. I'm hoping they get it sorted out and the design modified as I really want to buy...

    Match Cases/Organization

As above, if in a car just a soft case. Hard cases are long, bulky, heavy, and not at all necessary for a car trip.

Red dot or reflex for rapid target acquisition during a PRS match

With proper NPA and some practice you shouldn’t need one. I was always a 8-14x magnification guy, but have since become a 18-25x guy for rimfire stuff. When targets were all 1-2mil in size low magnification was ok, but now I’m having to shoot .5mil or smaller and needing to see my misses higher...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Cheers, I’ll send them an email and see how much international shipping will be. The Anarchy Outdoors Arca spigot is 260USD (140 for shipping and handling) which is ridiculous, the BT19 + BT20B (pic rail) is about 160USD shipped from the UK, which is still a lot of money for something I don’t...

The knob looks like it's under spring tension, so yeah I would've thought it'd stay reasonably secure.

Cheers, maybe I'll avoid it then. I liked the idea of it being removable, but don't really want it rattling around. I have a vision forend for my AT that I should just install, but I wanted to use the rifle as is for a while. Currently using a piece of picatinny rail on the forend, which I...

Was it the Atlas BT19 adaptor that would come loose? I would buy an arca spigot but the shipping cost is outrageous from the US (I'm in New Zealand) whereas I can get the BT19 spigot from the UK, for not too much money.

Rifle Scopes Is there a market for a good MPVO

It doesn't need a functional tree, it just needs the main stadia lines to be visible or have a bright centre dot. If you have a RDS then it doesn't really matter, but an RDS is largely a solution o a problem that shouldn't exist.

Are there many places to shoot long range in Scotland? I know the GBPRA somewhat struggles with centrefire shoots, but they mostly shoot in England (as far as I'm aware).

Precision Rifle Gear SG Pulse Pro (level, timer, dope)

Surprised to see there's not already thread for this. New product announced at Shot Show, but looks to be available soon. Pre-orders are starting now. Not sure how useful the digital dope card will be, but the combination timer and level will be awesome, especially with the remote to start the...

Not necessarily, there are a bunch of varmint and match models and it's not always obvious which models have the match chamber I'm not a CZ expert, but most people say the match chamber is well worth paying for. Probably best to take further discussion to the CZ thread.

Accuracy is luck dependent, not sure the CZ match chamber will be better but shouldn't be any worse. The CZ match barrels are a lot heavier, but you have to pay a lot more for a MTR or a LRP. Probably better off buying the cheapest possible model and doing a rebarrel.

Does anyone use this adapter with a bipod other than an Atlas? Presumably any ARMS 17s bipod will work. AKA a Harris with a Area 419 AMRS adapter.

It does have the same foot print, it's the magwell insert the messes with things, some will fit but not all. So yeah, with that in mind, you may as well just get a CZ 457.

CZs just work. Almost never see a feeding, or ejection issue with them. The magazines don't seem to ever wear out. Barrel replacements are much easier and you can go for a much thicker one. Other than sharing an action foot print with a centrefire, there's no real reason to go for a T1x build.

My 25.5" medium palma weighs 4.36lb (1981grams) and doesn't have any issues. I don't think a straight contour would add much more than that. L3i have said a 24" 1.18" barrel is fine in the CZ, and I know a guy shooting a straight 24" 1.2" without issue. Anschutz also do some very long, heavy...

From memory around 23.5mm is the maximum you can go. I know guy who went for a straight 1.25" and stepped it down to fit in the action, but ended up with a few issues and had to bed the first part of the barrel to support it. A straight contour barrel at the maximum diameter wouldn't be too bad...

    Anschutz 1727 APR

That's the version with the steel forend, the aluminum forend was about €500 cheaper. In the US it might not make any sense to buy the APR, but the AT-X version isn't available outside of the US.
