    Burris XRT III pricing

Does your glass drop off at higher mag, or just worse all round?

    Burris XRT III pricing

I'm not super impressed with my 3.3-18 XTR 3, but it is probably still the best option for the money. From 12-18x the eyebox doesn't get tight, but it becomes very sensitive to eye position and the image quality and CA gets extremely bad of mildly off axis. The reticle, size, weight, turret...

Grey Ops didn't create this for no reason. Again not saying AICS magazines are bad (not even close) but if a manufacturer was looking to think outside the box, magazines are place to do something different.

Tikkas do have feeding issues too, but for the most part they are very very reliable. You can slap most CZs and Tikkas on a bag/barricade, and never have to worry about inducing a fault. Not saying that any company shouldn't use AICS pattern (for better or worse it seems most people do what...

Both CZ and Tikka T1x do the hanger style, and for the most part have less magazine related feeding issues. I guess it comes down to if you want AICS style mags or not. I like T1x magazines and was one of the reasons I did a T1x build (which in hindsight I should've done a CZ build). I don't...

Unless I'm mistaken there was some discussion about going away from, or atleast not necessarily doing an R700 foot print action. The main reason to stick with R700 is there is the largest aftermarket options for R700, however if you did stray from that Tikka would have to be 2nd best...

I was taking for granted magazines would be AICS pattern, in which case Tikka makes the most sense. But yes, if straying from AICS, CZ mags make a lot of sense.

If straying from R700 style, surely Tikka is the only other option for a well supported aftermarket. User swappable barrels would be a nice feature, AI quicklock style is best but I'm guessing patented. Definitely need to offer Tikka Sterk Swept/AI swept bolt handles. Actually just make an AI...

Based on my experience with a gun smith who had chamber many Olympic 22s, but would have ejection/reliability issues for PRS matches (dirt, dust, rain) I'd say not very. It's like the guys who say their Savage never has any issues, yet in match where they shoot 100-200 rounds the gun shits...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Are they pictures taken on your phone, or are they DSLR pictures? I can load pretty big pictures (12MB+), if they aren't huge files then it might be your account, I recall having similar issue and logging out and in fixed it. Or could be an issue in background...

DPG Action Extraction Update.......Getting closer to production every day.....

I'm guessing this action will have all the advantages of a RimX, but with the single feed "issue" and shitty bolt steel issues sorted? I might finally step into the custom 22lr club.

Barrel flats, any one use them?

Crows foot on a torque wrench if what I do. I usually change the barrel Jacob style (rifle on bipod fully assembled) but if you want to torque it real tight I don't think you can rely on Jacobs method, will need to hold the action more securely.

Barrel flats, any one use them?

I've put flats on my Tikka barrels, and haven't had any issues. Was torquing to around 40 ftlb, which isn't crazy but some Google searches suggested it was enough. To do anymore torque than that really need a rear action wrench or put the action in a vice. An ex member here (Rubenski) did the...

Help me pick a chassis for a B14R Heavy

If you do rebarrel go as long as possible, so 24". It's almost impossible to get too much weight on the front of the rifle, whereas it's almost impossible to remove weight from the rear.

PRS Range gear bags for match day

30L is all you really need, unless you are packing lots of additional clothing. I really like the Direct Action bags (from Poland) as they have a front pocket (or pouch) with lots of pockets/storage options so you can organize all your small stuff without needing to buy additional pouches.

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

I'm not expecting anything but I did tell the rep that I wouldn't recommend that people buy the T1x ACE which he was a bit taken back by. For better or worse I'm using the rifle (it wasn't my first choice) for IPRF factory division in August. After that I'll put my 26" barreled action in the...

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

The thing that really makes it cheap feeling is the plastic grip, and to a lesser extend the butt adjustment (which I kind of hate) and the mag well. The anodizing also feel cheap to the touch vs cerakote, which seems like a stupid comment to make but makes a big difference. I do think Tikka...

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

I think I'm going to disagree. I think you always had to choose if you wanted it 70/30 hunting vs target shooting, or the other way around and NRL hunter has captured both of these approaches. Having a rifle that can me a 7lb mountain rifle and a 30lb competition rifle was never an achievable...
