    Yeah that’s where I thought black butt pad area and grip with the colours doesn’t look as good as the AX etc which all closely matches. Have a S&B in the dark earthy colour was going to put on. I guess with a black Sphur mount may all work with the FDE AT-X.

    Wish they had examples of all the colours.....I know you can imagine but doesn’t help much, when laying down that much cash....especially here in Australia where there won’t be many examples to choose from. I know I won’t be buying a bloody red one!!

    45.5gr 2208 (varget). 2650fps out of 16” barrel. They were happy pretty much everywhere in the seating department. Settled at 2.85” Coal. That was 120thou jump. Cheers

    We certainly don’t get deals like the US. Athlon Midas tacs are decent for the money. Little over your budget though. I used to have a couple of the old Bushnell elite 6-24x50s nothing wrong with those.....usually pop up around the $850 mark on used guns. Gotta be very quick though the good...

    That 44.5gr is a super hot load hence brass life being non existent. Like you said around 42gr is a good node. Mines 41.8gr 2209 (H4350) and gives me 2850fps out of a 26” barrel. Right where you want to be.

    Toss a coin. They all work at those ranges. Realistically most of us shoot at ranges where a 308 or 223 is all we need. I’m the same I’m like why do I have a booming 300WM when i rarely shoot past 500m. Haha it’s all wants not needs with us humans 🤣. My 16” 308 shoots 175gr Otms @2590fps. My 26”...

    Tried and true 6mmBR. Nothing wrong with all the cartridges that have been around for years. They all basically do same job these new offerings. It’s just $$$.

    Mate gunsmith did it while doing few other bits and bobs but yeah that’ll work, straight forward job. Little front plate on chassis screws off with Allen key screws, then just cut down to desired length. so designed to be able to shorten by the looks of it. Cheers.

    Thanks mate. It’s a shooter. 1:8 twist. 77gr Berger’s or SMKs are it’s favourites. Those Ultimatum actions are great...once you work through a couple minor issues. Action is bedded (that’s one of them). MDT ACC is 3 inches shorter now. Triggertech special. March 3-24x42 on top. Probably should...
