BnA Tacsport and Tacsport Pro will need an 035 cocking piece AND a low top sear (https://www.bulletcentral.com/product/bixn-andy-tacsport-top-sear/). At least both of mine did. It's difficult to lift the bolt with a standard/medium sear.

My guess: ~12.66 inches (6 m-lok slots @ 1.26" each, 5 spaces between each slot @ 0.315" each, roughly two slots-worth of space between the slot closest to the trigger and the magwell, and then about an inch between the slot furthers from the trigger and the front of the Xylo)

I cheated and got the following (full disclosure: I also got the SAE set, too): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071CQWW9F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_g5eRDbX0FEFKD

    ARC Archimedes sear engagement

If you don't want to send it in, and don't mind cock on close, but want it to actually close, then you need to modify the bolt in the manner depicted in the pic Ted posted above (pic attached). Also, trimming the bolt shroud spring may help (I made mine so there's no spring sticking out of the...

I'm not seeing any mention of Archimedes/M3 in that link. Anyone willing to compare and/or try their Nucleus striker spring in their Archimedes, for science?

Bix 'n Andy make three different top sears, in varying heights, to accommodate different actions/tolerances.

Would be curious to know what's inscribed on your cocking piece (that's what she said). Mine reads "780/055." I have a feeling ARC may have/will have several iterations of this piece, because why inscribe it otherwise? ETA - Measurements (may not be rocket surgery accurate): length of the...

I have not. I like instant gratification, so I modded my BnA sear (used a low sear). All 100 CCI 450 primers went bang, today. Feeds and ejects great, also.

I used a .223 rem case, and a table, to compress the spring with the spool looking thing on top. Once compressed, slide the disassembly dowel in the hole that captures the spool stop the spring (like during disassembly). At that point, the lever and pin go in easy. Once those are in, pull the...

    ARC Archimedes sear engagement

I had to shorten (length) my BnA TacSport top dear with my Archimedes. This, effectively, is like shortening the cocking piece on the bolt, but less "permanent," in my eyes (I have both low and medium top sears). I'm guessing this is because the top sear is coming in contact with the cocking...

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

First evening with the Archimedes: I had to shorten (length, not height) my BnA TacSport top sear. Tried regular and low sears, but it ended up being the length. The bolt would not close unless you really slam it forward. Surmising that the bolt shroud locking pin was not getting compressed...

@BG94591 Good looking rig! Double check that the receiver has dropped into the lug in the chassis; can be tricky to feel, sometimes. Could be the angle of the photo, but from the lines, and how the barrel looks at the front of the chassis, the lug may not be seated in the lug cutout of the...

I appreciate the heads-up. I do have the Brownell's wrench, but would prefer to have contact on four sides of the action. If the above piece is publicly available somewhere, for a fair price, I'd love to own it.
