Be thankful, i caught myself giving correction in 1/10-foot recently. Too much engineering/road construction work and not enough Range Time!🤣🤣🙄

Why do people load so hot?

To expand on the discussion, this was with my 223 running FGGM,55g bullet. if I’m wanting to shoot farther and have bullet upset, I’ll use the 22-250 with the same bullet.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Lever Action thread

More like Broken Body!🤣🤣. According to Memsahib, I went back into symmetry when I blew out my Right Shoulder (both knees, both shoulders, neck and lower back have noticeable damage). You should have seen me trying to compete with an arm in a sling and very little use of it.🤯🤣 The sight set-up...

Why do people load so hot?

Another consideration is bullet upset. Not necessary in target games, but more important in Hunting situations. I know of several mono metal manufacturers that recommend keeping impact velocity above 1700 - 1800 fps. If you are wanting that bullet to perform correctly at a given distance, it...

The three “main” barrel lengths were “Civilian” 4-5/8”, Artillery 5-1/2”, and Cavalry 7-1/2”, but I’ve seen from 1” to 14” barrels. The setup does not really allow for speed loaders.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Lever Action thread

Any Lever Action can be improved by sitting down to your favorite movie (spaghetti westerns or John Wayne movies work well) and cycle the action the whole time. I’ve found through experience that replacing some parts and cycling the action does better than a “race ready” action job.

    Damascus knives?

I won a Damascus Bowie pattern knife in a raffle at a multi day Cowboy Action match several years ago. It went into rotation for my outfits even though it is on the large side. The maker’s name is stamped Jose Z and I believe it came out of Florida. I’ll get some better pictures when I get home.
