    Also use the Athlon Ares. Had the G1. Wind blew tripod over and mag ring stopped working. Sent in for warranty and had a brand new Ares G2 in my hands within two weeks.     .308 win with plus 1 gas

    Sample size of 1 here, but I went from a 16 in carbine system to a proof 20” +2 CAMGAS and it is freaking smooth. 6.5cm with adj gas block, running suppressed. Recoil is less to me than a lot of overgassed 556 I’ve encountered.

    If short and light is priority, I’m really digging my SWFA 2.5-10 ultralight so far. Have an RMR offset on it as well. Glass is meh/good enough and needs a sunshade, but tracking great and reticle matches very well for my 11.5 556 AR. Only limited use so far but gonna run it this hunting season...

    Use mine with a USO B17 with H102 reticle and love it. What illuminator are you running? Put a Luna on mine and can count antlers on deer (not shooting them, just observing) at 1000m on 17x mag.
