What is the state of LMT MWS-H complete uppers these days?

Daughter’s first pig shooting my 6.5 cm. I started off trying to build a sub 7lb rifle but slowly added heavier parts. Probably sits around 12lbs currently. Best upgrade was the 20 inch proof barrel. Highly recommend the 100 ELD VT on pigs out to 400m.

Which Do You Prefer, Snake-Proof Boots of Snake-Proof Gaiters?

If use gaiters, just make sure they protect the top of foot. Buddy has worked ER for 25 years and says every snake bite he’s seen come in has been on top of foot. The Rocky snake boots are pretty light weight and what I wear.

Hunting & Fishing Hand held thermal for night coyote hunting

I’m still rocking a Pulsar handheld 384 from 8 years ago. Still works great. Don’t need anything fancy if you are familiar with thermal and how to ID animals.

    Eberlestock repair (warranty accepted)

Worth a shot to at least take it to a local sew shop to see what they would charge. If you are near a military base I would try one there first.

Hunting & Fishing Cellular Game Cams

Installed 3 Tactacam Reveal 3.0 on my place this past weekend and have been very happy so far. Super easy setup, ran the updates, and have been getting pictures since. So much easier to manage photos daily than to show up each month and spend the first few hours pulling cards and...

Thoughts on solid 6.5CM AR tubes?

20 inch Proof +2 gas on my primary rig and I’ve been very happy with it. Suppressed only, very soft recoil. More accurate than I can hold for sure.

    Rimfire practice accuracy

Built out a T1X in a KRG bravo for my daughter to learn on. Made a 25m range in backyard. I shoot that damn thing more than anything else now. Stupid fun shooting steel out to 300m. Really makes you get back to fundamentals when doing “tack” games, as well as training reps off tripod or other...

Spotters Viper HD or Athlon Ares G2 20-60

Have the Ares G2. Decent optic for the price and has served me well. Also have the milling reticle. Spotting hits on steel past 400 can be difficult with both eyepieces.

    6.5 100 grain ELD-VT fragmentation question

Using the factory loading in my 20” 6.5 Creedmoor and have been very impressed with it. Farthest kill only around 250m so far but wouldn’t hesitate to use out to 600 on pigs. Should get a much larger sample size this fall/winter. 3096 fps avg for me at muzzle.

Night Vision NV and thermal kills...

Couple weeks late posting, slammed at work lately. Daughter and niece got their first pigs.

Night Vision NV and thermal kills...

Kydex formed light covers. Painters tape keeps them on and doesn’t leave residue on the paint when I take them off.

Night Vision NV and thermal kills...

7 recovered. Another 3-5 likely didn’t make it through the night. Good times with good dudes.

    Maggie’s Compact tractor advice.

If involving slopes, hard to beat a PowerTrac. Need to be somewhat mechanically inclined though. Mine was great for the ten years I owned it. Lots of attachments you can get for it as well.
