    I don't think he would take it off, due to the way shoots. I would say it would shoot just fine, with a good lot of ammo. But a tuner can dial that lot in to shooting great, same for the next lot. Give DI a call they highly recommend EC V2 tuners. My friend talked with a few times before...

    A friend of mine got Vudoo built by DI precision, It has a 24" 1.2" 13tw barrel. It came with a EC V2 tuner, threaded to the barrel, not using a adaptor. It shoots lights out.

    I was out yesterday, final tuning my B14R with EC V2 tuner. This is 2 - 5 shot groups shot at 400 yds shot with SK Long Range. The wind was 3 to 10 mph.     Tikka T1X for sure. The T1X can take you out to 300-500yds. just get a 20 to 25 moa rail and a scope that can dial to 500yds. I have a Swfa SS 20X mil scope that has 30 mils.

    Whats the best of the cheaper ammunition? Eley Target example

    A friend of mine shoots Contact. He gave me a box to try. I was shooting my T1X at 200yds at 2" sq steel knockdown. It took a few rounds to get it dialed in, then I hit 6 targets in a row. Contact will have fliers, but runs great in my Tikka T1X and my Bergara B14R's. It is great practice ammo.

    I shoot Eley Contact for my low end ammo. It is $5.25 a box from Killough $ 5.00 if you get a case and free shipping. It shoots way better than CCI SV. I like Eley Club for a better ammo. SK Long range is my go to match ammo.

    Sounds like a good project. I don't think the Savage action is going to give you the accuracy, you are going to need.     ELR with my B14R

    3 of us were shooting, 2 were spotting for one shooter. We can see dirt misses on the berm most of the time, but sometimes you not see anything. We could hear hits on the plate and see it move. It is stainless steel 1/8" I have some 3/16" 400 AR gongs that ring very well.
