    You would first shoot the regular 1 MOA at 1K competition and then the best shooter from that group would shoot the 10 shot group. He does say that you get 1 sighter shot before shooting the group. So with all of that you in theory would have some idea.

    How much is barrel life affected by going from 2900 FPS to 3000 FPS with a 230gr bullet? I have a 30" barrel so 3000 is definitely possible. I'm currently at 2900 FPS with 76gr of H-1000 with ADG brass and it seems like a fairly moderate load. I'm thinking I'm saving a little barrel life by...

    I shoot a JP LRP-07 in 6.5 CM. I had a fair amount of damage to Hornady 140gr match cases when shooting them compared to Lapua SRP brass. As mentioned a deflector pad will help with the mid case damage. There will still be some neck damage from ejecting, but it seemed better on the Lapua brass...

    I had the same problem with kernels bouncing out of the cup with the IP trickler. I found a brass tube that fit over the end of the down spout and put a bend in it to redirect the kernels towards the side of the A419 cup. That took care of the stray kernels.

    ETA: I use it for bullet seating only and not sizing the case. Probably not what you're looking for. I dip the bullet only in the graphite and then seat it. Wipe any excess off with a paper towel after seating. 300 PRC testing a new powder charge:

    Yes 230 gr ATips over 77.1 gr of H1000. Frank had mentioned that my load might be too hot so I'm going to see what happens if I go with a bit less powder.

    Testing a reduced powder charge today. I wasn't seeing any signs of overpressure, but 2953 fps seemed like it was probably too hot even for a 30" barrel - definitely not good for barrel life. I'll need to do further testing to verify, but 76.0 grains of H1000 looks promising!
