    OBR 7.62 and non-Larue Suppressors

What suppressor? If you buy the buffer from slash, you HAVE to use the $15 dollar 308 rifle spring he sells with it. Additionally you may not need the full 10oz, but start with it. If you run the heavy buffer with a extra power spring it will cause issues. It will run fine with the heavy...

Staked castle nut or not ?

I would stake the castle nut on every AR15 & AR10. Not worth ruining your hunt, or your simple outing to the range. Undoing the castle nut when it's staked is easy it just takes a little more force. The only downside is if you are picky you'd want to possibly replace the end plate due to the...

What is generally considered the most precise semi-auto rifle?

I have 5 randomly acquired barrels for my large frame Larue Tobr, and each one shoots well in a variety of configurations suppressed and not. Some barrels are sub moa and several are half moa, and better at times when I am doing my part.

    BCG hitting gas tube

Depends how much it's off, typically it's very little, and doing it by hand using a wood block or other object is successful. You could use thr brownells tool to hold the gas block. https://www.brownells.com/tools-cleaning/general-gunsmith-tools/wrenches/ar-15m16-308-ar-gas-tube-wrench/

    BCG hitting gas tube

One thing I do before I install a barrel is check that the gas tube is bent correctly and it cleanly engages the gas key. I have had to bend a few gas tubes ever so slightly to get them to line up. I just think it's part of building your own rifle and something everyone can do and should do. If...

    243 - Cycling Issues

Some AR10s have a taller internal height and require a trigger that has a slightly taller hammer.

    Slower powder for AR10 loads?

My die and set up, lube, sizing(measured), and annealing all produce the same results with the higher quality brass and select few pieces of hornday. A large quantity of the Hornady brass sized okay, but also a large amount did not with variations in dimension. This is over 1200 pieces to give...

    Slower powder for AR10 loads?

Going from, say, Hornady brass to peterson to norma and on to Alpha, quickly showed me that hornady brass is junk. It doesnt size consistently even after annealing in the amp. I was getting sizes that varied .010. This can happen with Federal brass as well, its not the best quality. The Alpha...

PWS MK218 6.5 Creedmoor buffer setup?

I really like the idea of the KAC buffer and the special spring but I cringe at the price and with parts becoming unobtainable once that spring wears out. I think bang for the buck is swapping the carbine extension to an A5 and using that inexpensive armalite 308 rifle spring with which ever...

PWS MK218 6.5 Creedmoor buffer setup?

I think the Tubbs will create more closing force going into battery, I don't think he needs the Tubbs based on the OPs feedback. "Standard buffer spring load Bolt in battery: 7.2 lbs Bolt locked open: 16.5 lbs Standard buffer spring variation: 7.5 lbs Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring...

PWS MK218 6.5 Creedmoor buffer setup?

You could change to A5 length with a 3.250" Buffer, make sure to run the armalite 308 rifle length spring($15), and then adjust buffer weight as needed. You want to reduce peak carrier speed without going too far. You are suppressed so more weight than normal typically works; depending on your...

PWS MK218 6.5 Creedmoor buffer setup?

I don't think the jp is the way to go. Just play with buffer weight, then adjust the gas as needed to tweak it. Keep it simple. You could change to a brake to reduce recoil more but that circumvents the can. You could run 130 gr bullets, but you probably want to run heavies for long range...

    Split case with blown primer

OP should file away a cross sectional view of the web and show it. That should have some indication of where it truly started. Showing the path of the rupture...

    AR action plumb? Mounting scope?

Arisaka makes an inexpensive sine bar level kit for squaring the mount to the scope, the Allen wrench works well, and so do the feeler gauges. And I like using the plumb/level line to add my bubble level. Then I know everything is pretty much perfect.

Expected velocities from 22” barrel 6.5 CM 129 grain?

130 gr bullets will be from 2800 up to 2900. This is factory hornady 130 eldm from a 260. Unless your barrel is not up to the task.
