    Still contemplating a savage 10fp in 308.

Good luck with the atlas worx. I bought one years ago, never got it to work. Supposedly an m5 equivalent for the rem 700. It was a waste of money.

    308 Short(er) Range Scope?

Trjicon 2.5-15 Credo. Excellent scope, elevation turret a bit muted due to the weatherproofing. Great reticle, good illumination, zero stop, capped windage

    Howa rebore?

My brother had a barrel rebored by them. They did fine work and the rifle shoots pretty well. I think they may have squared his action face as well. Not sure what they are charging, but you can get a preferred barrel blanks howage barrel chambered in 9.3x62 for 525 bucks

    Still contemplating a savage 10fp in 308.

I've been on this forum for quite a while. I remember when folks bragged about buying their new savages and rem 700 sps tactical rifles. When the SPS tactical first came out and Mark Gordon was just getting SAC off the ground, he offered an accurizing package, retaining the factory barrel...

Recommended Optic for Monitoring Wind and Mirage

I don't use spotting scopes much, but, for me, the extremely high magnification is more of a problem than it is worth. With a 20-60, I find myself at 20X (I' not glassing extreme distances though) I have used that 20-60 on a very decent tripod (manfrotto), it is so sensitive to wind and...

Rifle Scopes What scopes have all these features?

Because they are available for less than 2500 every day.

Rifle Scopes What scopes have all these features?

The Delta Stryker 3.5-21 checks almost all of your boxes, elevation has a zero stop, not sure it is is locking. Your biggest issue is going to be the low turret height. The March definitely has low turrets and great glass, but is above your price range. The new Burris XTR PS might be just the...

    Steiner T6Xi 2.5-15x50 (5116) on Remington 700 Police

I would rather have a mid tier scope on an entry level rifle than an entry level scope on a mid tier rifle. That rifle is closer to a mid tier rifle when you consider the state of precision rifles in the early 90's.

    Steiner T6Xi 2.5-15x50 (5116) on Remington 700 Police

That is probably a 700 PSS, which were definitely a cut above the 700P. It's very difficult to get any solid info on them now, most say that it and the 700P are virtually the same, they are not, but I can't give you any specifics. The Remington heavy, hammer forged barrels were well noted for...

American made medium power optic (3-18+)

Tract or Maven 2.5 -15. Quality, Japanese sourced scopes. Delta Stryker 3.5-21, also a quality, Japanese sourced scope. ZeroTech Trace Advanced 4-24 might be worth a look, also Japanese.

Who can make a custom bottom metal for a 4.050 mdt mag

I know PTG has issues and has earned the reputation they have, but I have used their DBM and found it well made and it works as it should (not the one you're looking at).

    .224 Valkyrie

Well, you don't say what length, but this is a very decent handguard. I have one and am very pleased with it. https://www.primaryarms.com/guntec-15-ultra-light-thin-m-lok-handguard-black-gt-15mlk

    Let’s talk carbon fiber stocks

100% on your remarks in regards to the pure precision. I bought one for my lighter weight build. I am absolutely pleased with the quality of the stock, it looks good, but damn, muzzle flip and recoil are a definite issue. That's with a 7-08 AI shooting the 162's at 2800 with a suppressor...

Tikka T3x ACE target vs Game

You would want the target model for target shooting and competition. Weight is a benefit for those endeavors. It's probably still a bit on the light side, but you can make it work.
