Looking for an an affordable and accurate AR-15
Not sure if they still make theses but they are fantastic LR and varmint Rifles and are true to thier .5 MOA claims. I eventually had Compass Lake cut and thread mine down to 20". The short and simple answer is Leverage, just the same as using a pry bar. Yes the barrel is secured into the upper with the barrel nut that holds the barrel extension secured and torqued to the face of the upper receiver threads so now the Barrel Nut and Upper Receiver are ONE. Larue anything is a crap shoot, give mark enough time and he'll find a way to fuck it up. If you can find one of his earlier production triggers in the Exchange they have the cleanest break, they have a Silver finish and easily stand out from current production...- Bigjake83

The SP10 handguard steel screws thread directly into the aluminum upper, the aluminum threads just dont hold up well and are easily stripped. Helicoils are threaded steel Incerts that can withstand repetitive use and higher torque values.- Bigjake83
