SS / wet tumbling - media preservative

I don't "store" my pins in the tumbler itself and I wouldn't recommend it either. I rinse them after each use and they end up in a plastic cat litter pan. That's where they dry. They're clean and ready for use immediately.

Single stage press for up to 338LM; Forster Co-Ax vs Harrell Sportsman

No issues with loading/seating .338LM on my Co-Ax. And I seat them long. I do hold the bullet on the case as I put it into the shell holder though. I does get close to the seating die when installing it into the press. But there's still room below the seating die after the case is in the holder...

    Terrapin X.

Attach some metal to that 'yote!

    Terrapin X.

I would absolutely agree with this. The added feature I like is that it "talks" to my Kestrel. One button push on the Terrapin, and the Kestrel has the range. But the interface is poor, I will agree. Although to be fair, it is a much better performer then the Sig-2k that it replaced.

Throating for Berger Hybrids vs Sierra SMK vs Warner Flatline in .308 Winchester

I throated my new barrel +.170" for the Juggernaught. At .010" off the lands, it seems the faster I push it, the more accurate it is. I'm up to 2740fps with the 185gr Berger's. And I'll push them a bit further until I just reach the bottom of the bullet in the case with powder. My barrel is...

    Berger 185gr Juggernaughts (.308win)

Just putting it our there...what's the consensus on seating depth for this bullet in a bolt gun. Do they like a jam? Do they like a large jump? Small jump? What are you using as your jump?

    155 GR Scenar 308 Varget & IMR 4064

My 24" Kreiger loved the 155gr Scenar with 47.2gr of Varget. Speeds were 3050fps. Great kilometre plinker. I did step it out to 1200m, but not much after that.

    .308 Winchester

Fair enough. I'll measure the COAL when I get home tonight. I'll post it here. One of the reasons that my CBTO measurement is longer then yours is probably due to the +.170" throat. I also had a great slow node. During barrel break-in I used a 39.0gr charge which showed 1/3moa accuracy...

    .308 Winchester

Yeah, the magazine is useless to load from. This rifle is definitely a single loader. I use the Hornady comparator. I really don't know or care what the COAL is. The important measurement is the CBTO. I know that this load is on the long side. Since I had the chamber throated +.170", there's...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

Just re-barreled my PGWdti Coyote (.308win). The new barrel is a nice Kreiger MTU 17 Heavy Varmint finished at 28" with a very nice Insite Arms Heathen brake. The barrel is a 5R 1:9" twist, throated +.170" to be optimized for the 185gr Berger Juggernaught bullet. Looking forward to load...

178 ELD Match, Varget, 308 Win

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

I call this one, "The European". Sako A7 Roughtech Range in 6.5CM, 1:8" 25" medium heavy barrel, ATRS brake, Zeiss V4 6-24x50, Magpul bipod. Pretty decent for a factory offering.

What’s a good size case for labradar and it’s accessories?

lol...no. But that laptop case even fits the LabRadar unit with the new aiming device.

What’s a good size case for labradar and it’s accessories?

Laptop case is perfect for the LabRadar. Mine even fits the base. (Nice fish, huh?) the black bag to the upper right holds the external battery and all of its accessories. The green bag holds the swivel base attachment. Perfect for the LabRadar. And cheap....I didn't tell my wife that I'm using it.

    308 ELD-M Load Help

Here's a load I developed for a shorter (24") barrel. Caliber: .308win Rifle brand: PGWdti Rifle Model: Coyote Barrel length and twist: 24" 1:10" Krieger Projectile brand, model and weight: Hornady 178gr ELD-M Powder brand and weight: Varget 43.0gr LOAD CONSIDERED HOT OR CLOSE TO MAX: No...

PGW Coyote or CADEX R7 in 6.5CM - accuracy

I have a Coyote in .308win. I am currently having it re-barrelled with a new pipe. It is an extremely accurate rig. That 24" barrel is a weak point IMHO. Mine is the chassis version. Also, the factory brake is a joke. The one in the photo below is not the OEM brake. And that stupid proprietary...

    .308win powder choices

So here in Canada, it sounds like the same shortages are happening as in the States. Varget has been unobtanium now for around a year. There's lots of choices out there. I found 24# of IMR-4064, so I jumped at the chance. You just don't know when more of that (or anything else) will be...
