Opinion: Which is the best looking bolt gun and why?

Chassis rifles can be pretty too.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

I live in Canada firstly. A company called EM Precision sells these. They are Pelican Vault cases that have a firm foam insert drilled for 220 .308 bolt face cases. They also have a magnum one that holds 120 cases.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

I finished my week’s project. The trilogy was the 6.5CM. Here….sizing And then priming on the press… Charging and seating…yeah, yeah….yada-yada. This took a week to complete… L to R: .308win, 6.5x47L, 6.5CM Enough (220 rounds for each caliber) for …a lot of shooting.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

And I just got the new counter top for the powder measuring table. It’s Corian, and it‘s much better then the particle board that the cabinet top is made of. It is heavier and flat. Nice and very flat. And now I have room for the V4 A/T next to the V3.

    6.5x47 Lapua

Just great. It’s been to the mile. IMHO, the 139 scenar is the ideal bullet for the x47.

Auto Trickler V3 - Is it worth it?

    No, that is their funnel.

Just paid for my Auto Trickler V3, what Area 419 goodies should I get?

I got the cup because the OEM one bounced extruded powders too much. I got the pan because it has the detent for their cup. I got the Lexan lid because it’s heavier then the OEM one and it makes the entire top more stable. And lastly, I got the heavier trickler stand because the OEM unit is too...

    Forster reloading press

I use my Co-Ax ever since an RCBS hand held unit failed me the night before a match. Wonderful unit. It really gives you the feel of how tight the pockets are and when the primers are fully seated. Yes, it is probably slower then a hand held unit or some others out there. But I’ve been using it...

    6.5 Creedmoor

No, it’s the IMR4350 in the picture above. The bullets are Berger 140gr Hybrid Target (sku 26714). The fire formed case after firing showed nothing out of the ordinary. F.L. sized with a Whidden bushing die (.288”) which gives .002” neck tension with the Lapua case and this bullet. I’m only...

    6.5 Creedmoor

My bad... I guess being my age, I shouldn’t try to remember a load when I’m at work. I load for 8 different calibers....and my brain sometimes hurts. The chamber is throated long (sorry, I can’t remember the value). So with the CBTO where it is, there’s plenty of room for powder. That and...

    6.5 Creedmoor

The temperature sensitivity for the IMR4350 I noticed was from a cooler week (last week), to this week (much warmer). Those chrony numbers were from yesterday.

    6.5 Creedmoor

So far, tests were just done at 203 yards. In the OCW test, I printed a .48moa group. And I didn`t say anything about ES and temperature. And I have noticed with all of my new barrels, that they tend to speed up after a few hundred rounds. YMMV.

    6.5 Creedmoor

I noticed the temperature difference in speed from one week to the next (much warmer the second week). The ES number could be a bit lower, yes. The barrel is new and so was the brass. I suspect that the ES will come down a bit. As far as the sample size goes, I think it is more then adequate to...

    6.5 Creedmoor

Here's a 6.5CM load I just developed... Caliber: 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle brand: Cadex Rifle Model: CDX30 Barrel length and twist: 28" 1:8" Krieger (1.25 inch straight) Projectile brand, model and weight: Berger 140gr Hybrid Target Powder brand and weight: IMR4350 44.0gr LOAD CONSIDERED HOT OR...

Can someone explain closed forearms to me...

Yep! I removed the top rail off the fore end here. It also had side rails near the front...removed as well. Me thinks the air space, although not a lot with this thick barrel, does mitigate heat a little. The bottom rail is for the bipod, of course. If I were to shoot off hand with this...

    6.5x47 Lapua

Time for some precision loads. My last outing showed wonderfully on the chrony. Snapping the steel at 1500m with the 6.5x47 Lapua was great trigger therapy. Here’s the results on the LabRadar... Nice large sample size. Pretty decent spread and SD numbers here! (65 degrees) So I thought that I...
