Powder Splash With Auto Trickler & Area 419 Components

I also have the offset straw. It has a baffle. I'm also using the Area419 pan. It seems to be a higher unit then the OEM scale pan. Looking at mine and the one in a post above, it looks like the combo of both Area419 pieces gives a taller height. I would guess that there's no need for a...

Powder Splash With Auto Trickler & Area 419 Components

Inside the Area419 funnel below the thrower, there is a baffle. It is a half moon shaped piece of aluminium. It is there to regulate how the powder falls through the two levels in the funnel just before it exits. I was having the same issues as well as inconsistent throws. I took it apart and...

    Reloading Bench Porn

This was my Son’s bedroom. It works for me to load and for gun maintenance. The AMP is the only annealer I would use indoors. I load mostly precision ammo and some cowboy action for rifle and revolver. I’d like to thank my Son for moving out a dozen or so years ago. My Wife is much...

    AutoTrickler V4

Me too! I hope it works better on extruded powders. That is really the only thing that the V3 has issues with. But they are workable. Just not consistent. I’m on the list and look forward to the new unit. I will run the V3 and the V4.

    Auto Trickler FX-120 Simple Question...

I unplug mine after use. I did move it away from the large magnets inside my AMP annealer too. When I want to use it, I turn it in for about 5 minutes, calibrate with the weight, and carry on. I also use a line conditioner To smooth out that sine wave a bit.

    Best Reloading Room Contest

Here's mine. It only shows one side of my room. But most of my loading business is done here. The cleaning station, gun maintenance work stations, and storage racks are not visible...

    Autotrickler V3 - CE Products?

I know 2 guys up north here that use a Lee perfect powder measure to manually dump most of the charge. Then they use the trickler to achieve the target. One fellow mounted the Lee above on a shelf with a clear tube down to the top cover. He has 3D printed a funnel that the hose attaches to...

    Autotrickler V3 - CE Products?

That’s what I do. Leave it unplugged while not in use. Calibrate at the beginning of every session. Although, I use it right away. No waiting.

A little revolver loading today (.357mag).

Will purchase Lee Classic 4 turret press only if I can I use Hornady dies- is that possible?

Yeah, I gave up on that little "catch tray". I've found that if you clean the shavings out of the die often, they are very accurate. I sold my Giraud and RCBS powered tri-cutter unit. I find that the manual crank, once you get the hang of it, is faster and more accurate then any powered unit...

Wall Mount for AMP Pilots from Inline Fabrication ... Am I alone?

Mine live in an empty Lapua plastic brass case. That’s fine enough for me.

Will purchase Lee Classic 4 turret press only if I can I use Hornady dies- is that possible?

The 4 hole Lee is a decent choice. The first thing you should do is lose the silly indexing rod and pathetic plastic bushing. The primer is also a weak point. I spin mine by hand and prime elsewhere. Any 7/8” threaded die will work in the Lee. I even do most of my trimming with it.

    77SMK over Varget

Cadex R700: 26" 1:8" twist Benchmark: 77gr SMK: CCI BR4, Lapua brass, 24.1gr Varget, CBTO 1.890" (.010" jump), 2950fps (+20c) A very good (1/3moa) load to 700m. With decent environmentals, a great one kilometre silhouette competition load too. whoops...my load info is for a bolt gun. If you're...

    Extreme Rebel 17

Thank you! The vibrating Lyman doesn’t get used often. But I sometimes use it for cleaning excess lube off of cases. As far as larger volumes go, the most I’ve tried at once has been 50 .338LM cases and 50 .308 cases. That was probably the heaviest batch I have done. But I have done 200 .44mag...

    Autotrickler V3 - CE Products?

The Area 419 products are a nice touch. The clear lid is a much heavier design....and see through. The funnel is offset so the throws don’t bounce powder out of the cup. The cup is a much wider design so powder “splashing“ is minimized. The pan self-centres the cup and has an indent for positive...
