    CMP and NRA (had) have been doing the "Long range" matches at Camp Perry since the early 1900's....nice that they are finally going E-targets at Perry though.

    Very possible that the headspace is correct, just your "sizing to factory die setting" could be overdoing it to the brass. Measuring shoulder from fired brass with a comparator is a common method.

    In the mid-2000's when Win primers were notorious for pinholes I have a ring of pinholes in both my M1 Garand and LRB M14 bolts. Cosmetic really, although still annoying. But, just how hot are your reloads if primers are flattening and flowing into the divots?

    Well, they don't spin, but will move quite easily. I just assumed the OP was referring to that. As @diggler1833 said, my eyesight doesn't really discern that slight 4 degree offset.

    I agree that flipping open the cap on my Gen 2 Vortex does move the diopter ring since they don't lock. I just mark the proper setting with a paint pen and check to make sure it's in the right spot when opening.

    Yes, E targets are very nice. Along with the average velocity at targets it gives the SD of those numbers. I wonder how much the SD at distance relates/matches the muzzle SD?
