    Wondering the same thing. My only concern would be it functioning correctly. I think they use a bolt gun for the same reason you use a over/under to shoot shotgun sports. Reliability!

    My experience has been with my long throated barrel with a 1:7 twist, is that the 77 and 80 gr. bullets love it. Here is a example of of an 5 shots at 400 yards with 80 gr.     Winchester Brass vs Lapua Brass

    Sorry guys! This morning I realized what happened. Normally I wipe the resizing lube off with acetone after loading but I was interrupted and forgot to clean the Lapua brass. Brain fart!

    I have a JP in 6.5 CM but with a scope on it weights 14 pounds so not ideal for a hunting rifle.

    Winchester Brass vs Lapua Brass

    Today loaded some Winchester brass and Lapua brass with the same charge and primer and bullet and fired them. The Winchester didn’t have any soot on it but the Lapua was filthy. Is it because the Lapua is a thicker brass and doesn’t expand as quickly and seal in the chamber?

    Cortina EC Tuner... They work!!!

    My JP was a 3/4 moa gun due mostly to being restricted by magazine length ammo. So I added the EC Tuner/brake and was able to bring the group sizes down to under 1/2 moa. I have put 200 rounds through it now and I have to say that it is repeatable. I think it is a great tool for the AR platform...

    What I’m finding with the 90 gr. is they like to be close to being jammed. I’m only .009 from a jammed stuck bullet. I use Varget when I have it but I have a ton of Imr4064 and since I’m seating so long I’m able to get 24.2 gr in the case and it barely compressed. It was pushing them at 2750. I...

    I too shoot a .223 throated to .169 and 1:7 twist 26 inch barrel. It likes 90 gr SMK at 2775 FPS. Here is a group at a 1000 last night.

    Barrel advice

    I shoot a lot of .223 at distances of 600-1000 yards. I prefer a 30 inch 1:7 heavy Palma or bull barrel. I’m shooting 90 gr. At 2750 FPS. There’s a very informative article called Mouse On Steroids. I’m just a plonked but here is here is a picture of two groups at a thousand.

    Tuners For Large Frame Rifles

    Well sir from my experience it’s damn near impossible to replicate test results due to all the variables involved. I can say this from other tests (different charges) that it tuned very similar to the above test just at different settings.
