LaRue MBT is still an option at $115?

I agree that it's a personal preference issue, but I also agree that the LaRue trigger face is too wide for my liking. They are both great triggers, and I have a couple Larues, but I prefer Geissele. G2S goes in most of my AR's, ssa-e goes in precision ones. For reliability, I highly...

GEISSELE MRGG 6.5 CREED WRITE UP AND REVIEW

They all seem pretty accurate. Geissele and LMT were both reported to be well under MOA during the mrgg-s trials. LMT was under .85 MOA https://lmtdefense.com/news/lmt-defense-ships-initial-delivery-to-ussocom-mrgg-s-down-select-trials/ Geissele said were less than .6 MOA I've never shot...

GEISSELE MRGG 6.5 CREED WRITE UP AND REVIEW

If I wasn't heavily invested in my LMT 6.5, and was starting from scratch with large frame, Geissele would definitely be the way I would go. Hoping that Mullets does a comparison video between Geissele, Knights, and LMT.

This guy and Preston Moore are my two favorite YouTubers

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Mine is probably my favorite rifle I've ever shot. It does really well with both Berger 130 and 140 grain hybrids. I bought a couple of new barrels not long ago, all three barrels are outstanding. Two are Bartlein and the other is Proof Research stainless steel

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

8 out of 10 for any 5.56 at that distance is solid for sure. I shoot mine quite a bit at 636 yards, which is the longest shot I can easily get on my property. This is about a 6.5" square on a 2/3 silhouette, using 5.56mm LMT with 16" Bartlein barrel from Craddock Precision. That low left shot...

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

LMT AR-15 Barrel 16'' 5.56 Stainless Steel 5R Cut 1:7" Twist https://share.google/wKMU22MIpubK8tXs0 I attached a link for the exact barrel I bought. LMT describes it as stainless steel, 5r cut rifled. It is 16" and stamped as shown in the photo. It has continued to show a little bit of...

    6.5CM - 147 ELD-M & 41.5 H4350 - Too Hot?

This may have been part of the issue. I do store my powder in a finished basement, but I keep the dehumidifier running in my reloading area. Generally at or just below 50% humidity It's likely that the older stuff I loaded years ago was loaded before I started using dehumidifier

Geissele Super Duty or LMT MARS L-5.56 16in

LMT MRP with a 16" Bartlein barrel from Craddock Precision. This is my favorite AR platform rifle that I own. It did not shoot great with the factory barrel, but it is now the most accurate semi-automatic rifle I've ever shot.

    6.5CM - 147 ELD-M & 41.5 H4350 - Too Hot?

I just started using a lot of h4350, although I have used it in the past. In the past 41.5 grains of h4350 with Hornady 140 ELD-M's from several years ago would give me around 2,720 FPS from a 24 inch accuracy international in 6.5 CM. In a newer lot of h4350 that I recently loaded, the same...

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

I'm aware of that, and 5 round groups definitely don't either. That's why I qualified the title as "unscientific". I only have so much time and ammo, but I wanted to share my general findings. I'm also positive I could have tightened things up with a Nightforce 32x rather than the Vortex 1-10...

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

There is no separate ring on the conversion barrels. It's just like a standard AR-15 barrel, the gas tube passes through into the upper like a regular ar. There does not seem to be any detriment to not having that ring near the barrel extension. The only thing I'd like to modify is the depth of...

Which is the best AR-10 without barrel deflection: the Geissele MRGG or the Seekins SP10M?

The LMT'S can be finicky, can confirm. Love them paired with Bartlein though.

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

I have, there is virtually none that I've been able to measure out to 300. That's one of the main things I like about LMT, I love absolutely everything about the rifle, except the accuracy with OEM barrels. The Ambi lower receiver is my favorite lower on the market, and the monolithic upper is...

Anyone else seem to find the Sierra 77 gr TMK bc fall short from claimed?

I'm far from an authority on long range shooting, but I stopped using BC quite a while ago. Applied Ballistics and Hornady 4DOF have impressive libraries filled with custom drag curves for most of the popular bullets. I have found these to work better than ballistic coefficient.

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

Yes, the platform itself is outstanding, but I wasn't able to achieve the level of accuracy I wanted from OEM barrels. Fortunately, D Wilson can convert any AR barrel for a reasonable price in a reasonable time. I'm very happy with both conversions he did for me. The Bartlein barrel hammers...

This labradar has lived a tough life. I keep meaning to get one of those Garmins, but remarkably this thing still works.

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

Several months ago, I bought a LMT MRP 5.56mm rifle during a Black Friday sale. I'm a bit of an accuracy enthusiast with AR rifles, but I also like a practical weight carbine suitable for general use. Over the past several months, I purchased 4 different barrels for this rifle, I figured I...

Which is the best AR-10 without barrel deflection: the Geissele MRGG or the Seekins SP10M?

I have an LMT MWS 6.5 CM, I've noticed very very little barrel deflection regardless of where the bipod placement is, or using a bag versus bipod in general. I'm not saying it's the best AR-10 on the market, but it really excels in this area

SIG Sauer HYP, AR10 in .277 Fury

To each their own. I don't know why anyone would buy that Sig. They are a shameless company and there are dozens of better options available from reputable firms.
