[Video] Police Snipers train for Super Bowl LIV

A few others have touched on this, but I'll expand on it. In my experience this is a multi-faceted issue. Money is one side of it, but it also comes down to who makes the decisions and a lack of exposure to what else is out there. You have to understand that not everyone in LE is a gun guy...

Everyday Sniper Episode 231 - Regina Milkovich

Since we're on the topic of left handed shooters, of which I am one, lets talk about lefties shooting right handed rifles; specifically prone. I tend to find I don't shoot a right handed bolt rifle as well and my left handed AI prone. Granted, it's an AI, but it's got me thinking about rear bag...

Iowa 2-day Frank Galli Precision Rifle Fundamentals August 15th-16th

I'm bringing Frank to Sureshot Range in Mt Auburn, Iowa for his 2-day class on August 15th and 16th. This is his basic fundamentals course like he teaches in Colorado, but probably without the high winds unless we have a tornado. Expect to shoot...

Frank or I will post something on here when the registration page is up and running. My mental math is telling me we should be at 8 right now, but that's unofficial of course.

Training Courses Iowa 2-day Frank Galli Precision Rifle Fundamentals August 15th-16th

Yes it’s two days. I’ll tweak the post slightly to make that more clear. Thank you for asking that. I would absolutely recommend it for new shooters and experienced shooter alike. I’m a part time competition guy and hobbiest long range shooter. I’ve taken several classes from basic to more...

Training Courses CANCELLED Dark Angel Medical, Lincoln NE. 3/2020

I’m not in the market for a class like this right now, but if anyone is on the fence about it, trust me, you should take it. We are taught a similar curriculum at my job and I’ve used this knowledge at car crashes, shootings and other traumatic events. Don’t think you won’t need it cuz you’re...

    Targets- episode 222

@lowlight also, I like the idea of diamond, circles, and squares if you're going to print your own. I find the different shapes require a different focus and teach me different things about quartering or shooting a point etc.

    Targets- episode 222

What if you could design a target that was a sheet of paper like above, but the aiming points themselves were replaceable with the sticker targets? I might be missing the concept, but would that solve the issue? You could have multiple targets printed for the guys who aren't having trouble...

first shot high, next shots in nice group 1 moa lower

I assume you’re not changing anything like adding a suppressor when you get to the range? I ask because I have a lesser quality can and mount that always shifts the first round high 1 moa if I take it off to store the rifle. I assume it’s not that, but in my case it drove me crazy trying to...

    LE Training - Episode 208

I really like what I'm reading, seeing and hearing from Caylen. I need to find a way to make a trip out to the west coast soon.

    LE Training - Episode 208

@lowlight I listened to your latest episode and I absolutely agree with your assessment of LE training, both sniper specific and in general. As it relates to sniper team training, who are you seeing out there that is teaching the most modern and current curriculum?

Advice on RRS tripod and leveling base

I have to echo what people are saying about the Anvil 30. I was looking at a leveling base setup but Adam Rehor at MHSA convinced me to get the Anvil 30 based on its range of motion. I have no regrets. The Anvil 30 ballhead locks up tight and I haven't noticed any movement in it when you...
