    22i versus 34 etc for hunting ?

    I have both, the 22i gets used all the time..but it's not compact. It's really light and sturdy as all get out..but not super packable. The 34 is just that, compact. It's fully about usage. I love being able to load everything in a pack and walk, but the 22i isn't a big hindrance either...

    I have one, not the mini chassis, but I do like the LRH alot. Very comfortable to shoot off the tripod. The mini chassis sounds nice but I added a short arca plate to my EH1A that's a mini chassis. I shoot them both side by side without any issue or accuracy issues.

    What caliber should my new night gun be?

    I run a 16" & 18" 22 creed. 60vmaxes @ 3700fps in 18" and 3500fps in 16" gun. Both bolts. Point and shoot to 300yds. The biggest issue to get the speed is to reload with faster powder. I use H4895.

    6mm 55gr NBT out of short barrel

    Been there. For 55s and flat, things drop off rapidly after 400. I have a creed short throated reamer. It does 3500fps in a 16.5" barrel. A 6x45 in same barrel does 3250fps same bullet. I'd try a 6mm204.

    No budget lightweight hog tripod

    I have the RRS 22I with anvil 30. It's not the shortest when collapsed, but the leg locks are more in reach. Seems a little more stable than my other RRS soar anvil 30 ( 3 leg sections). It also seems lighter due to less hardware.

    I have several 22 creed barrels. My coyote rifle is a 17" Bartlein 2b barrel. 60vmaxes at 3700fps with H5895. My sendero profile bart barrel cut to 25" is great for prairie dogs..same powder charge and 50 vmaxes hit almost 4100fps. Watch you carbon ring as it will cause bullets to pop about...
