Assuming you mean up to $5 grand??? Unclear what that must cover. If $5k for rifle, optic, accessories, then go Ruger RPR ($1k) or Tikka T3x TAC A1 ($1300-1400 street cost).....barrel from same machines as Sako TRG.....or Masterpiece Arms ($2-2.5k depending model)....or Sako TRG-22 ($3k)...
Hang on to them for precision perspective re-calibration tools.. There's gonna be a lot of Burn/Loot/Murder...Antifa.....knuckleheads to re-calibrate post-election...regardless of which way it goes. Just sharing for a friend for pondering. :) :) :)
Your papers, please?? It is un-American not to have at least one .300WM. Thread ended.
308 as obsolete??? Hardly, it is still a very viable round for work within 800yds and even 1000yds. Some refer to the 308 as KING for learning ballistics and wind proficiency. So much such, that USSOCOM...
The proper term for this condition is.....Lack of adult supervision in one's life. Thankfully, with any luck, it will be INCURABLE. But, I've learned to live comfortably with it. AW, life is good.
I have bought thousands and thousands of dollars of items from Optics Planet.....absolutely zero bad experiences. I've always reached their Customer Service with little effort, and had nothing but excellent support. Some individuals are just bad luck, bad experience magnets. You realize...
Is the case on the Hensoldt a Triad Tactical? Ocular cover doesn't look like the Triad. What "stay-on" covers for Henny 60 are people using? Triad is only stay-on case I've found. Thanks.
What is the application? How will you be using the system? Run 'n' gun; three gun; PRS; NRL competition; long range hunting; pack in hunting; long range steel ringing? What distances will you be shooting? Why a semi-auto over bolt action? Do you need the perceived higher rate of fire...
Begin by understanding that CONSISTENCY IS KING!!!! You can compensate for anything but inconsistency. The shooter is the weakest, most inconsistent link in the chain. Invest in the shooter for the biggest return on investment. Knowledge, practice, equipment is the correct order of priority...
When inserting barrel into MRAD, rotate the barrel to the left during torque sequence...it's a RH twist.....similar to pushing scope mount forward against picatinny rail when mounting scope to resist recoil. Rotating the barrel will reduce/eliminate shift. Consistency is King when shooting...
MRAD Barrel Builder Kit at $425 is available on Barrett Store.....spin 'em if ya want 'em. Kit includes barrel extension, bolt head, extractor, ejector, etc....and an instruction card for the barrel maker/gunsmith. All to be added is the barrel of choice. Buy Maker Kit to fit desired caliber...
FYI, this bore guide is included in the MRAD MK22 Deployment Kit....actually two....one for 308W and 300NM; one for both the 338NM. Now available on Barrett Store. P/N 15041 = .30 cal; P/N 32390 = 338 cal. $65.00 each.
There is a lot of differences between 300WM and 300PRC. Hornady designed the 300PRC to address shortcomings/limitations in other existing 300 cartridges.
30 caliber can works for 300WM and 300PRC. USSOCOM actually uses a 338 can for both their MK22 cartridges 300/338NM....and the 308WIN...
Looks like your Deployment Kit may feature the "click style" torque wrench...in th Multi-Cam pouch? Just received mine, and was pleased that it included the updated FixItSticks Kit. My torque kit is FDE zippered about the size of my palm. My caliber conversion barrels had the bolt heads loose...
Are you possible confusing "long/short breach" with "small/large diameter breach". Very early MRADS (maybe <1100 S/N...slab sided receiver in front of mag well area)) had large diameter breach requiring cross slotting of the barrel extension for clamp bolt clearance. All newer s/n are small...
