    Buying interior shutters.

My homes have plantation shutters on every window. I had a local company come out and measure each window and then hang them. Just make sure you get the ones you want as options can make a difference. These open independently from top and bottom and the vertical piece is used to open the...

Help Me Name my Rottweiler Puppy

I’ve had three Rottweilers over the years. My last one passed away in 2009 from bone cancer at the age of nine. His name was Odin.

    50 cal bolt action-

My 50 brake on the EDM has a slight angle on it but the rifle weighs 40 pounds so that helps. The brake on the Barrett 416 has a sharper angle on it and it feels about the same as my AI 338 in regards to felt recoil, at least to me.

It was from UPS in regards to customs. I have received similar bills from DHL when I have received items from England.

I ordered the scale with mine. About two weeks after it arrived, I was sent a bill for an additional three dollars.

    Full sized pick ups

I’m down to two trucks, a 150 and a 350. Don’t really need a 350 diesel anymore but it’s paid for so I might as well keep it just in case. 2019 CCLB KR Ultimate

    Auto shutoff cars.....how stupid.

They are getting rid of those as well along with all of the other good gas-powered lawn equipment.

    Sordin Headsets

I have three pairs (MSA/Sordin/Avenger) all with gel cups. Like others, I have sent off a set for a new battery box. I double up when I shoot a .50 or .416 but not with .338 or below. I don’t have any issues with them on 50s. A suppressor would be nice but we can’t have them where I live.

    Any C6 corvette fans here?

None that I have run across. The thing about classified documents (confidential, secret, and top secret) is that most of it is really not a big deal. Top Secret usually has substance but most confidential and secret stuff can be rather boring. I use to stop by the message center on my duty days...

    Any C6 corvette fans here?

I have read on the vette forums that a few folks had issues with factory wheels. Not so much cracking as bending a bit and they were losing air but I have not had an issue after several pot holes over the years. The only wheel issue I have had has been with the local tire shop gouging up the...

    Any C6 corvette fans here?

While not a C6, mine basically sits in a garage with a cover over it. Bought new in 2015, eight years goes by fast. Has 17k miles on it, need to get it out more or sell it.

    Sat phone recommendations

I took a SAT phone on my last deployment in 2008 but the overall cost does not justify the need so I stopped the service. Now I keep an InReach Explorer + for emergencies if needed. I pay 13 dollars a month to keep it active. If I need to use it extensively during some major issue, they can bill...

    Best oil for preventing rust?

Rust prevention depends a lot on where and how the firearms are stored. I live in a very dry area and some of the firearms in my collection have sat for 10+ years with nothing more than an initial wipe down before being put away. I don't use a heating rod in any of my safes because the humidity...

    Which Fix-it-stick kit?

I found it to be a worthwhile class. I am also thinking about trying that same class in August, just need to wait a few months to see if I can make it work. I don’t think we had any bad shooters in that class. I don’t do competitive shooting so the last day with barricades was not geared much...
