6.5 will be more gassy than .308 will be out of a SCAR or any other semi auto...watch them primers on 6.5 SCARs too...those 6.5 SCARs pop them like popcorn...FN's 6.5 offering was and isn't really optimal...just saying...
As far as cans...go buy a MotoTech Eng SCARburator....
I agree with that...its usable illumination...as I said its kind of like having an ACOG and wanting to cover up the fiber optics juuuuust enough to see contrast between dark to light objects...it is not nuclear bright...that said...nuclear bright LPVO "dots" also are really only usable when...
SCO hands down the best LPVO I have got behind…to my eyes it’s on par with ATACR and blows the Vortex G3 out of the water…at 1X…I have yet to find a better feeling LPVO…which to me is huge...it is really only marginally heavier than an ATACR with a mount...and it features a forged, tanky 7075...
Yeah that is just it...they can't turn out a consistent product anymore it seems...they are capable and they do...but they let too many things fly in my opinion...
I have written off Geissele as a consistent high quality performer...sadly..ever since they dipped their toes in with rifles...they haven't been the same...they are too spotty anymore...
Unless you are willing to feed a bolt gun with match ammo...I'd keep the SCAR...SCARs allow you to still have fun out to 600M with nothing but ball ammo...
Anodizing changes from batch to batch especially outside of black...but that looks pretty dang crappy...
I have seen Geissele miss QC several times the last 2 years...
I know this is an old thread but no one replied to your question. Yes...the Vari-X #51850 was on M110s and Mk14 EBRs...as well as other DMR type rifles including M21s...it was the workhorse of the early days of GWoT marksman rifles...
More than likely its an Aero problem however...with Geissele's QC mishaps as of late...who knows...as @the monk said...I'd follow his approach and see...if you don't want to deal with CS rep crap...just get some KNS pins and call it good...
