    @wooferocau Do you still have your 3-27 and 5-45 Schmidts? I wasn't clear if you replaced or returned them. If you can recall, after adjusting the diopter, was the entire reticle sharply in focus at low magnification on these scopes?

    I lost a Howard Leight MAX foamie in my ear canal once. That was painful. I do try to insert them so that the flange just barely sticks out.

Using "parallax at infinity and look at a clear blue sky and blank wall" has never worked well for me either for the same reason you mentioned.     Has anyone tried the plugs only under earmuffs? I'm not willing to spend 1k on their earmuffs. Currently using Comtac Vs with fomies underneath. Ears will still ring if plugs aren't touching my brain. I'm wondering if the ops core would be better.

    Mine are good to go. I thought something was wrong once, but it turns out one of the cap set screws wasn't fully tightened and was allowing the cap to slip. My turrets feel and sound are also excellent.

    Im leaning towards the Schmidt right now, I prefer their reticles. The P5FL looks a lot better than the JTAC. On the P5, the half and whole mil marks were kept long which makes no dial stages easier. And the JTAC main line thickness is only .025 mils. In my opinion, those reticles .2 mil hash...
