Big Magnum Revolver, what is just right?

If being packable ( ish ) matters, you are right to look past the X frame. Great to shoot but not made to pack. The 480 ruger would fit the bill nicely but with the scarcity of ammo and components I would be reluctant to buy one. At this point I would probably look for a freedom arms in 454 or a...

Rifle Scopes Does long road trip cause a shift in zero ??

I have never seen that much shift even when swapping barrels on a quality rifle. If the info given was accurate there is something mechanically wrong in a big way.

    Opinion time, Some Market Research

I like the ARC mbrace and Seekins mounts Mostly 34mm 1.5” 0 moa. Both have good modularity, are very solid and reasonably priced.

    6.5 Creedmoor

If you want to reduce recoil, a good option is dropping bullet weight.

    Accuracy International AT-X

I just bought an AT-X and I’m glad I did. I have had several other AI rifles in the past and this is my favorite one to shoot. It’s not the smoothest or best looking ( to me ) but it feels great when being run like it’s intended. The chassis and comp trigger are both very nice improvements from...

    Athlon, Bushnell or Vortex

Of those three, I would buy the Vortex. only because I think they are more likely to still be around and able to do repairs in 5-10 years.

Factory Ammo for +1000y on .308

In my experience super performance ammo has significant velocity deviation and makes a poor choice for long range. I would recommend Berger match ammo

2024 Elk Draw - help appreciated

A thought for the OP, Most experienced hunters that have located decent spots really don’t want more guy’s hunting it. So take any suggestions with a grain ( or cup ) of salt.
