Savage: the Only Jerks in the Gun Parts Business?

Ruger has been know for removing any non factory parts from guns that come in for repair. Kind of ironic since they have some of the most commonly modified guns in the US.

Suppressors Input on Suppressor for 357 lever gun & PCC

I’m always a proponent of getting more cans, But I am fairly certain the OP can run 357 mag through his can, especially on a rifle. Definitely confirm with the manufacturer first.

    Subsonic lever gun caliber

I’ve always thought the 500 S&W would be an ideal choice for a sub lever gun. The 44 mag or 45 LC would probably be easier. And either would do fine for a bear gun loaded with buffalo bore ammo.

    Bipod: Thunderbeast vs CAL

The TBAC is the best with fit and finish, and is a really nice, well built bipod. I prefer the atlas partly because it suits me a little better for field conditions and it’s also bit less expensive.

Shortening .22 Rifle Barrel...Any Down Side?

Definitely shorten that barrel. One suggestion would be if you aren’t 100% confident in what you are doing, cut it .5” longer that your minimum length. That way you have enough barrel to take a second swing just in case.

    Ok… I’m stumped (drywall construction)

Well that escalated quickly 🤣 To the OP There are different types of construction commonly used, including gluing drywall. Sometimes an additional layer of material may be installed behind the drywall for noise reduction or additional insulation. Especially the latter can make stud detection...

Rifle Scopes Cross over scope, let’s beat it to death again

Given that you are looking to upgrade from some pretty good quality optics I would suggest the S&B pm11 6-36. I believe they are around 32-33 oz.

    SAUM help choosing.

If lightweight is the focus go for the 6.5 and add a can or brake.

    Long ranges north Washington state

There are at least 3 ranges on Whidbey, I believe all have 100 & 200 yd rifle ranges

    Long ranges north Washington state

Long ranges and islands are a tough combination. Having lived here a long time, the best bet imo is to plan on driving a few hours. Wenatchee gun club has one of the best ranges around and is worth the drive. Cascade has 600 yds but is so full you can’t even get on a wait list Upper Nisqually...
