    Used to be very common (mirage bands, in general) in the Long range highpower days. They can make a substantial difference in the amount of “barrel generated” mirage that you look through. I think that most of us try to avoid getting barrels that hot anymore.

    I use the Eberlestock padded one. It is large and keeps me and my gear out of the winter mud and water. If I were to buy it over - probably would go with the Unpadded version.

    I am sure you could - I believe that they use the same feet therefore would probably have the same tenon dimensions. So one would likely work for both. I don’t own a SCAL so that is just a guess.

    Here is what I came up with. Heavy wall carbon fiber tube and I turned an adapter that snaps into the leg of the Atlas. Weighs a couple ounces and tough as nails.
