I like my gen1 a lot, but the FML-TR1 reticle is definitely something I would improve upon. The .1 Mil floating dot of the FML-MT is NOT a step in the right direction for me...and since I prefer a Christmas tree of some kind...I don't think I'll be jumping to the new Gen2..but I can see it...- blksno

Long Range Gas Gun Optics
for that kind of requirement...I'd strongly consider the 4.5-28x52mm March-FX I've got the 5-40x on a long range rifle, and the only thing I'd like better would be reticle, but the 4.5-28 would be great on a high end gasser that you hunt with. the wide angle eye piece is pretty much unmatched...- blksno

One Piece Scope Mounts ..What do you use?
I know Kinetic Development Group makes one. I have it on my Cadex 25 Creed. It's great for what it does, but it's not what I want for this 300 Norma system...but it's nice to be able to move the rings fore and aft. Looks like the Spuhr SP-4901C has an outside spacing of 4.76". I'll have to...- blksno

Its for this reason that I've gravitated to rings, 90% of the time. I prefer to have my eye relieve set...and then get my rings as far apart as the mounting space will allow. That said...I just built a 300 NMI on a Coup De Grace that has 30 MOA built in to the action. I'm giving serious...- blksno

I have a few Foundations and a few Chassis's...LOVE my Cadex Competition but I don't think it's actually very well suited for PRS style competition, so I use it more when I'm doing 70% prone style shooting, so I really really really considered another Cadex for my 300 Norma build...but...- blksno

At that price range. its the Element Theos 6-36 for me. Close 2nd would be a Razor Gen3, followed by a Ziess LRP S3 6-36 All will handle every caliber, as well as be excellent for close parallax on Rimfire.- blksno

6mm Dasher vs 6creed
I run both a 6 Dasher Proof Prefit as well as a 6 Creed Proof Prefit. Same Twist (7.5) Same Length (26) Same bullet (115 Dtac) 2825 with N540 in the Dasher vs 3075 with RL16 in the Creed Roughly 10gr of powder difference between the two breaks down to 25fps per grain of powder. Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!
I've ran a sling on mine for 6-8 years and never had an issue. I have the Cadex QD side mount on the front left. Not sure how you're slinging yours if you're using a rail.- blksno

This is an 18" barrel with a competition hand guard, so it depends if you're going to thread for a suppressor or not...or which hand guard you actually have. The sharpie mark on the barrel would be exactly 16" but you wouldn't be able to thread it for a can and still have it shoulder. Id say...- blksno
