    Fair point I’ll look into the details. I understand they are meant to be a great performance calibre The attraction of the Dasher is its uses a bit less powder and gives very good barrel life and factory brass options exist.

    Interesting. I will have a play. I Currently use a tikka action in an MDT XRS I currently run Accurate mag magazines for the 308/260. if they work with dasher, I’m laughing. Thanks for the insight

    Gotcha. Thanks for the honesty. I have noticed them retail for over $2k here in Australia (USD$1200-1300) and seemed like a heavier XRS for 4x the price. Good to know they don’t do anything special.

    If that is the Ace the rifle looks good, especially the two stage trigger and some basic but reliable calibre options (.308/.223/ 6.5CM)…why they omitted a decent 6mm option is a wonder though? I reckon an off the shelf 243, 6Dasher, 6BR or 6CM would be a success. They are claiming compatibility...

    Exactly. Manners, MDT, McMillan, Bell and Carlson, GRS, SCA…there are plenty. I acknowledge they’ve delivered improved stocks with the TACA1 and UPR offerings, but probably still better off offering high quality barreled actions that pass on savings to the end user.

    Went a slight different direction with an Oryx chassis that my 223AI normally sits in. Pretty much a competition gun/range gun.

    100%. It would be a damn near perfect product. There are a number of excellent chassis manufacturers that exceed anything that’s come stock with a Tikka rifle.

    I’m getting excellent results with Berger 80.5gn FB and 26gn of Varget out of a 26” 1:7 twist barrel 2935fps

    The efficiency of the carriage is incredible but the other upside is that I have had no feeding issues. I expected to have problems in that regard, but they have not eventuated.

    Perfectly sensible decision. However I have recently jumped across to the 223AI and I’m in love with it. There are definitely benefits, especially if you’re constrained by mag length. The above point about them looking cool is also important 😉 If the 223Rem is working then stick with it 👍

    That’s an excellent result. Are you going to shoot those out and the look at a load with 180/190/200gn projectiles using 4831sc or something like that?

    Congrats on a beautiful build. I’ve always been tempted to build a 30-06 for long range (900m - 1200m), even with having a 280AI these days I’m still enticed to go with a 30-06 some day in the future.
