Rifle Scopes Delta Stryker HD 4.5-30x56

based on your write up and other reviews (Richard Urting in sharp shooter UK for one) I have pulled the trigger and ordered a 5-30 with LRD-1T reticle. Thanks for the review/assessment. I’m in your shoes as a new dad with a kid and family commitments edging out my time to shoot. So dropping...

SMK 175 (308)...can I get it to go faster and longer before going subsonic

I’m currently running 43gn of varget with 175gn Berger OTMs in a Mag length load (stacking into an ‘Accurate Mag’ AICS magazine). Results are very good out to 500 which is the furthest I have tested them. At that loading level I haven’t encountered any pressure issues. Velocity, however, is Not...

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

I’m in Australia and the 5-30 Optika6 offs about 300-350 cheaper than the PST. Just very surprised by that. Sound like the way to go I think.

Rifle Scopes Precision rifle poors scope struggles.

Which Which Kahles? I have a K1050 and would be fascinated to hear how much bette the ZCO is than the Kahles. Are they justified by the price? Because the price of those makes even Kahles look entry level.

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

I spoke with the LGS and the 5-30-56 looks very tidy. maIn reason for preference for 4.5-27 was a SFP. But I would say I’m coming around to the FFP options rapidly.

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

Okay, well the waiting part is the same as here in Australia. There are not many of them here and will be a bit of a wait for one. Would love to have a look at one I think. I’m taking my time looking at this and saving along the way.

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

I’m in Australia and you definitely will not find a Leupold Mk5 for Under $2k down here. But I could always save longer and buy better...I don’t have time to shoot all the time These days. Might be better to debut a awesome scope like a Mk5 and use it less frequently.

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

Not better In my observations. You look through a high scope like that and image is consistently sharp, vivid, and clear at at each end of the magnification range. The high end Leopolds are excellent. I own a Kahles K1050 after using a NF NXS for a long time and it was substantially better in...

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

Thanks for the insight, That (Our to 600yds/500m) is likely to be what I willUse it for mostly. I see that they deliver a lot for the money. I also own a Kahles K1050. It’s superb and delivers amazing clarity at every power, even through difficult environmental conditions But cost $3650. I was...

Rifle Scopes Help needed! Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 or Meopro Optika6 4.5-27?

Hi all I am looking at either a Vortex PST Gen2 5-25 in SFP or an Optika6 4.5-27. The scope will sit on top of a .308/.260 Switch barrel that is used for ranges out to 900m (plinking and PRS mostly). I haven’t used either scope before so hoping to get impressions and Insight from anyone who...

Rifle Scopes New Meopta Scope - Optika6

I’ve been lurking on this thread trying to get opinions on the 4.5-27 and how they perform in long range target shooting. Compared to the 56mm objective of the 5-30 is there a marked improvement of sight picture and quality between the 5-30 and the 4.5-27?

    Tikka CTR or Varmint?

Having a Tikka Varmint in .223 with the 1:8 twist I’m always stoked by how accurate it is even after long fire strings (up to 17 shot strings in F-class comps). If your only playing at ranges and not humping around mountains hunting, the Varmint would be my pick.

Sako Semi-auto sniper rifle?... I'm listening

Just to be novel...something chambered in .260Rem/6.5 Creedmore. It would feed from 7.62x51 mag, plenty of choice in projectiles, proven ballistics, mild recoil, very accurate....stranger things have happened.

    Should I build a 223 Trainer?

The 223, aside from being a decent trainer for Creedmoor, will probably surprise you with performance and could become your mid range comp rifle. I use my Tikka 223 Varmint as my 600m and under comp rifle for PSR and FTR and another calibre for the longs. Cheap as hell to shoot (even in...

Tikka 223 AI KRG Bravo Build

Interesting question. I’m currently shooting a Tikka Varmint in 223 and have thought hard about getting Either a new barrel in 223AI now or just Re-chamber when barrel is cooked. This is probably my favourite rifle as well. why do you want to punch the higher velocities? I would agree the Tikka...
