    I won’t say that load development is a farce but rather most of the shit people do has been a waste of time for me and many of the changes I’ve tried haven’t shown indisputable impacts.

    I never had clearance issues, especially with gamer gun optic mount heights. I think I’d rather have a lighter bolt lift than 75 degrees but am not sold either way.

    I think they are good rifles for the money but if you’re looking for a bench rifle / range toy I wouldn’t get a sporter rifle like the PH2. I’d look at the HIT model instead from seekins.

    Have you tried milder loads and/or hotter primers? I haven't done much 308 sized case, small primer, ball powder shooting but have had hang fires with factory berger 6 creed ammo in cool temps - thinking mild primer and ball powder led to mediocre ignition.

    At least when they announced it on rokslide or on the S2h pod and I quickly looked up the prices it was just the machine work. I doubt they were selling chambered ACE tubes below the price of a bartlein blank.

    Tagging in.. Been tempted to sell my OG BA Comp but i lost the god damned little balls taking the cheek riser off and adjusting LOP myself and haven't taken the time to figure out how to replace and fix it... Just been using it with set screws tightened ever since.

    Lower pressure, less heat = longer barrel life. I've never seen anything proving velocity has a big impact.

    Is the sidewinder adapter stuck in your can? Seems like it’d be pretty easy to just buy a non-sidewinder adapter for that rifle and use whatever system your can has. Hell, you could buy a new dedicated can with 1/2” DT for the $ saved vs a supervarmint.

    A couple months ago i could find brand new t3x lite compact 8 twist 223s for under $700 online. Buy one offline, have it directly shipped to a smith to thread muzzle, then to your FFL. Less than $1k and you're done for much less than a Supervarmint and at "hunting" weight.

    Does seem like you'd be pushing it a bit to meet PF. I was considering a 6.5x47 tube with the idea of shooting 144s to help reach PF without running too warm in a 24-25" barrel.
