    Agree with the general sentiment of what you're saying, 300 WM is a pretty poor option for "Sniper LARPing". But being as berger's old factory 215 ammo was near 2900 FPS in 26" barrel, i would expect a 20" salvage to be capable of 2650 without effort.

    LTI XC is going to be quieter, longer, heavier, little more expensive. The regular nomad XC with a recoilX should in theory reduce recoil more than the LTI XC with a recoil X. This is because there would be more gas pressure at the brake since there is less suppressor volume reducing said pressure.

    I'd be hard pressed to build something bigger than a 7 mag. Have done the 300 wsm/wm/norma and I just don't think its needed nor is it ballistically beneficial over a 175+ 7mm IMO and i'm doing my damnedest to get away from aggressive muzzle brakes.

    So how does the Abel compare to the Maverick in recoil/muzzle rise mitigation? Does gas through those little top ports impact ability to spot impacts/trace?

    It looks like the fore end is wider than ARCA in both options anyway. If the fore ends were longer, i wouldn't want a spigot. It looks like they are about 4" longer than standard bravo fore end which is probably close to how much the spigot extends in that application, so maybe i wouldn't care...
