    Custom Reamer for 6.5 CM

Just a follow-up - I've decided to simplify life and just go with a standard chamber dimensions. When it's time to re-barrel, I'll have some experience with loading the 6.5CM and a better idea of what I'm doing!! Thanks for the input---

    Suggestions for 6.5 CM Loads

Thanks, Guys - that should keep me going for a while!!!

    Custom Reamer for 6.5 CM

My concern is that past posts indicate that when the FB is in the 125 - 130 range, the chamber won't accept factory match ammo. While I intend to reload all or most of my own ammo, I'd hate to own or have to sell a gun that can't shoot factory ammo.

    Suggestions for 6.5 CM Loads

Got a call from my 'smith this morning saying that he is ready to start my 6.5 CM build - a couple months early I've gathered some components - H4350/CCIBR2/Fed 210/Berger 140 VLD/Hybrid/Hornady brass - and now need to start thinking about a load. I'd appreciate any suggestions for loads using...

    Custom Reamer for 6.5 CM

I'm planning a build in 6.5 CM to be used for long range practical shooting. I'd like to use bullet weighs in the 139 -142 range, particularly the Berger 140 VLD/Hybrid. A previous post stated the jump, using Berger 140s in a standard 6.5CM chamber (FB = .200) and mag compatible COL of 2.820, is...

Cerakote Color Combo with Manners Ellite Tactical Stock

While the black looks good, it seems like it's a sharp contrast to the other stock colors. Similarly the light Sage Green does the same in the opposite direction. The pix of the GAP Camo/OD on the Manners website and the ThunderRanch on the GAP website look good but I'm not a big fan of green...

Cerakote Color Combo with Manners Ellite Tactical Stock

I'm at the point that I have to decide on a Cerakote color for my build using a Manners T4A Elite Tactical stock with molded GAP camo finish. I'm thinking OD green (i.e., GAP Thunder Ranch) Graphite Black or a medium light tan such as Coyote Brown. Does anyone have some pix they would be willing...

Range Report The Hornady 140 amax ammo. The OLD VS THE NEW

To complicate the issue, there now appears to be a Lot #314xxx-- available. Has anyone had the chance to try this one and wee how it compares to 312 and 313?

    Problems with Ruger American Rimfire

They replaced it - took a while and I'm still in the process of getting my transfer fee reimbursement. The new one is just fine, particularly since my wife "really likes it";)

    Problems with Ruger American Rimfire

The defective rifle was serial #830-30029. I was surprised that the replacement rifle had a #832- prefix. Perhaps a different production run??

    Problems with Ruger American Rimfire

Unfortunately, the factory producing the RAR is in North Carolina, and the Customer Service Dept for rifles is in New Hampshire, so even if they had made such a fine offer, I would have had to refuse:(

    OCW Targets for download

Thanks for the "diamond" shape, SICARIO - for some reason I shoot tighter groups with that shape than with a square of the same size. Probably related to the horizontal and vertical reference "points" of the diamond--- Regarding the paper, has anyone taken a regular target to Staples/Kinco...

    Redding bushing change

Or simply a pencil - the eraser slips into the die and has enough friction that it will lift it right out.

    Problems with Ruger American Rimfire

The RAR is currently being produced in North Carolina according to Ruger customer service. Not certain if the original models were also. At any rate, the replacement for the gun I sent them has been received by the CS folks in NH, will be inspected to insure there are no problems and then...

    Problems with Ruger American Rimfire

The Ruger American Rimfire looked like a nice trainer package, particularly with the modular stock, so I ordered one from an on-line retailer for my wife to use in low-level club competition. I was initially amazed by how tight the bolt locked into the receiver - it was a struggle for me to open...

    Optimal Twist for 6.5 Creedmoor

Actually, GAP does that - their 6.5 Creeds are 8.2. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of having a barrel cut with a custom twist - have to go with what's in stock at the dealers. Something to consider when it's time to re-barrel, though--

    Optimal Twist for 6.5 Creedmoor

Sorry, I should have been more specific - I'm trying to decide which of these two is "better". There seems to be a preponderance of folks using 1:8 but I've not been able to find a reason it would be better. Maybe herd instinct:D

    Optimal Twist for 6.5 Creedmoor

After several months of considering 260 Rem vs 6.5 Creedmoor for my 6.5 build, I've decided to go with the Creed. On reviewing past threads regarding twist rate for 6.5, I've found most of the comments are from 260 Rem shooters probably due to its longer availability and popularity. I'd...
