    This is the first time I've built on a Howa action and I'm pretty happy with the results. 23' 6.5x47 that will be fed a steady diet of 130gr Hybrids, A3 edge-fill, Vortex LHT. 9.2lb as pictured. Early load development appears promising.

    I just completed load development with a new 6.5-284. I have found that changes to jump/COAL produced a much larger difference in pressure/velocity than I would have expected: 156gr Berger EOL 57.5 Retumbo: 2975, 2986, 2990 (ejector mark) Same Charge weight with COAL increased .043: 2917...

    I have both and find them very close with the LHT perhaps having a slight upper hand in edge to edge clarity. They are very similar in terms of feature set but if you're looking to save weight the LHT is significantly lighter

    I might go the same route. I assume the MDT Tikka mags at 3.56. don't require a MDT chassis i.e. the mag is compatible with standard long action AICS DBM
