Maggie’s Religion explained in a new way

While acknowledging the fact that I am a primate trying to understand a mystery, it's relatively easy to change my mind with evidence and reason. This means that I try to establish truth (or the closest approximation of it) based on the available data. I think Hume said it best when he stated...

Maggie’s Religion explained in a new way

As someone interested in religion and how beliefs are established I've enjoyed this thread. Kudos to all involved for keeping things civil. Many of the religious people in this thread have spoken about the rationale for their beliefs. I'm genuinely curious to know what evidence could be...

    Rifle Scopes NF NXS 2.5-10x24

I get the feeling I'm going to like this scope a lot. First impressions are very good. Love the small footprint, glass is better than I was expecting and shouldering the rifle has presented no issues with the eye-box. Range time to check tracking tomorrow.

    Rifle Scopes NF NXS 2.5-10x24

Thanks for the input, Steve. I have a LRTSi (4.5-18) which I think very highly of, and I've had a bunch of the LRHS - fantastic scopes all around. I'm trying to reduce weight on this rifle which makes the NF appealing, but time will tell how usable it is. My 2.5-10 is in mils, and 5 mils takes...

    Rifle Scopes NF NXS 2.5-10x24

Great info here, thanks. Should arrive tomorrow, looking forward to ringing it out.

    Rifle Scopes NF NXS 2.5-10x24

Criticism I've seen is eye-box and low light performance. Some users have reported eye fatigue given the small exit pupil and finicky eye-box. All other performance seems to be typical of NF (track, reliable etc). How large is the reticle at 10x.

    Tikka T3 Thread

I have two Manners stocks for Tikka actions, both use CDI DBM's and I run pillars and have bedded both. YMMV

    Rifle Scopes NF NXS 2.5-10x24

I've never handled one of these scopes but just bought one blind. At the price paid I can flip it and get my money back at the very least. Plan is to stick it on a lightweight hunting rifle. I don't tend to need super high performance at dawn/dusk but I'm interested in any feedback other users...

    Rifle Scopes NF ATACR parallax

I have three ATACR's and the distance markers correlate well with a parallax free sight picture. Must have gotten lucky there...As others have said it's a non issue regardless, so long as you can dial parallax out of the equation you're good to go.

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce 4-16x50 F1

I have both the x42 and x50 versions of the 4-16 ATACR. Both are superb optics. In terms of how tactile they are I prefer the turrets on the x50 model, they perfectly match the feel of the 7-35 and are equally easily readable. The advantage of the x42 is that is can be mounted lower to the...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce 4-16x50 F1

Shot this guy and placed 2nd in a comp on the weekend. With the Mil-XT the 4-16 is a near perfect short/mid range optic.

Rifle Scopes Floating Dot or Floating Cross hair in the center of the reticle?

Comparing the three different dot sizes (.04, .06, & .09) on the EBR-7C is enough to convince me that .075 is much too large for the centre dot - but I guess different tastes are what drives the options now available, which is a good thing. I personally think Tangent missed the boat with the...

Rifle Scopes Floating Dot or Floating Cross hair in the center of the reticle?

.03 - .05 Dot for target shooting. .05 or .06 mil cross for hunting. For me, the dot is a little more precise and the cross is a little faster.

Rifle Scopes NX8 4-32 vs 2.5-20, Anyone with first hand comparison of eyebox and IQ?

You will not be disappointed. I have the 7-35 as well as the 4-16 in both x50 and x42 guise - the 4-16 is an outstanding optic - agree with some of the comments above in that if NF made a mid-sized 4-20 with Mil-C and/or Mil-XT it would be the perfect do-it-all optic. That said if I could have a...
