    Snow-pocolypse 2025

We haven't had much down here but the mountains are above 95% of average snowpack.

    Chronograph

If you don't mind attaching something to your barrel while shooting, the magnetospeed sporter is accurate and reasonably priced. I have an Oehler 35P that is very good for an optical chronograph. You may be able to find one used at a reasonable price , as I did. The offerings from Pact are...

    Remington 700 Failure to Fire

The tolerances are probably so close that like you said, there can be flex issues. I would try skim bedding the action. This would allow for the variation between the stock and action.

    Barrel too hot?

At 300 yards, wind becomes a bigger consideration than 100 yards, especially with a 223.

M855A1 through factory KAC SR-15, issues?

I don't say undergassed in a bad way, and maybe should have used a different term. Take a Colt 6920 and compare it to an SR-15. The 6920 has to have a heavy buffer and special extractor springs with a buffer to run properly.

M855A1 through factory KAC SR-15, issues?

I know how to maintain an AR, and don't really care if it won't run shitty ammo. Everything I run through it are my reloads. My son brought some steel cased ammo to the range and tried it without success. Oh well.

Then why won't mine on cheap ammo? It likes loads on the warmer side and 5.56.

M855A1 through factory KAC SR-15, issues?

Nice brag thread 😁 The SR-15 is undergassed in my experience so I don't see it being an issue.

    Fuddlight, 762x39

That looks like a fun little setup. Years ago, I picked up a Saiga Sporter in 223 to convert to an AK style build. It has similar lines as your Fightlite. After shooting it a couple of times, I decided that I liked it the way it came and have left it as-is.

Former endeavors that used to give joy and are fleeting now...

Skiing as a teenager. Sometime in my 20s I kind of started losing interest. Pretty sad considering I live next to some of the best places to ski in the world. Working on cars. I've got a few collector projects that are just sitting, waiting for me to get back to it.
