Is an 8-inch 308 or 12-inch 6.5Cr build possible? Accurate out to 500 yards?

Suppressed with full power 308 rounds... not so quiet... subsonic is quiet, but not as quiet at 300 BO.Your drop at 500-600 with subsonic 308 is going to be substantial. Do your calculations... just a SWAG but I bet it will be over 100" at 500 yards.

Best value is the service grade.

Help me sell a vintage rifle?

Rust bluing is the most durable of the blued finishes. It is quite time consuming but produces a beautiful classic blued finish. It is expensive to have done. See Turnbull Restoration for examples of rust bluing. Hot bluing is the preferred method of finish by manufacturers due to the relative...

    Old German Scope on Craigslist

    Swedish Mauser Stock Wood Question...

Elm stocks were used by the Swedes for three years... 1915-1917. Buy which ever rifle is in the best material condition. I personally like walnut M96s.

Help me sell a vintage rifle?

That looks like an M38 disk... 6.59 Yes, Husqvarna parts.

Help me sell a vintage rifle?

There should be two bore diameter numbers in that sector of the disk...starting with 6,51 and 6,46...I am assuming that it is 6.59. Should still shoot well, especially with M41 ball. I have also handloaded with Hornady 160gr RN and they shot really well, approximating M94 ball. The Crown Cb...

Help me sell a vintage rifle?

Take good photos and be accurate in your description. As originally built, a M1896 had a barleycorn front sight and a v notch rear...in the 1940s they were retrofitted with rectangular front sight posts and the V notch filed into a U profile. If you happen to have a barleycorn/v notch sight...

    m1 garand issue

The first thing I would check is the clip latch spring. Cheap to replace.

    Gew 98 Sniper WW1

Había tres arsenales imperiales en Prusia: Danzig, Erfurt y Spandau. Ese fusil modelo también fue fabricado por Mauser, DWM, Haenel, Sauer & Sohn, Waffenwerke Oberspree, V. Chr. Schilling Company y Simson.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Holster

The trigger on the M&P 2.0 is marginally better than the first version...an Apex kit would be an improvement. The VP9 and PPQ are GTG out of the box

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Holster

I also own the VP9, VP9sk and a PPQ...it is a coin toss as to whether the VP9 or PPQ had the better trigger. Shot the 320, shoots well, didn’t care for it.

    MRT SLING QUESTION

I am assuming you are speaking about the leather Model 1907 sling...MRT refers to mildew resistant treatment and was applied to leather and canvas web slings. I use Turner Saddlery Military Leather Dressing or Skidmore’s Leather Cream on my Turner and Les Tam slings.

    Not with a 1 7/8” long projectile

    My dad found this...

I would guess a penetrator from a 50 BMG or similar class...way too big to be from an infantry rifle. Well, maybe a T-gewehr

    Help with my Enfield

I’ll bet the rifle had a lot of cordite rounds through it.
