    Atlas Tactical Quality

Completed my load testing. Two nodes found one at 43.5g of H4350 - 2830 FPS with SD of 8 with a .29 MOA group. The other was a 45.1g - 2910 FPS with SD 13 and a .50 MOA group. I'm going with the lower node to give my brass long life. Here is the target and data sheet for the lower node group...

    Atlas Tactical Quality

I went with the Kelbly’s Bix & Andy Tactical Trigger - 4oz - 4lbs two stage. Very nice! The barrel profile is a Healy varmint at .92 at the barrel. It’s a beast no doubt.

    Atlas Tactical Quality

Finally got mine together. The scope rings I got from them were too short for the AIAX chassis so I ordered an ADM Recon. Man the action is butter smooth. I'll be doing load development this weekend.

Rifle Scopes SFP Scopes for Hunting

Athlon Midas is a contender. I have the 4.5-27x50 on my Grendel for and it's awesome. I actually ran it out to 1000 yards and the tracking was perfect. I have also have the 2.5-15x50 which is also fantastic for shorter ranges. I have this on my .223 Wylde rifle. I may put the smaller one on...

    Atlas Tactical Quality

I'll let you know in about two days. I have an Atlas tactical coming from Ryan and Ian with a 28" Krieger barrel in .260 Remington. I went all Kelbly's and got their scope rings and the Bix & Andy Tactical trigger 4oz-4lbs. I'm dropping it in an AIAX chassis with an Athlon Chronos optic...

    Rifle Scopes Cerakoted Scopes

I have cerakoted a few scopes with good results. I always use C-series air dry cerakote as I don't bake optics. Mask, scuff with scotchbrite pad and spray. Having said that I often try and talk my customers out of it if it's an expensive optic. As stated above the color you chose is your...

    6.5 Grendel

32g of CFE with the 123 ELD-M and a CCI 450 primer is my load. It is compressed but shoots extremely well. It chronos 2520 out of my 18" barrel and 2360 out of my 12.5" barrel. I took my SBR Grendel out to 1000 a couple weeks ago. Multiple hits on 18" steel plate wth 44 minutes of elevation...

    .308 vs 6.5cm recoil

I shoot a .260 in an XLR chassis. My friend shoots a .308 in the same chassis. I hand load for both using 140's for the .260 and 178's for the .308. I have shot them side by side and believe the 6.5 "FEELS" like almost half the recoil. Technically it may be 30% but feels like more like 50%...

    Rifle Scopes Athlon Scopes

I also got to shoot long range last weekend with my new Helos. I ran it side by side with a Gen 1 PST for comparison. I like the Helos in every way over the PST. The only thing the Helos is missing is the zero stop but that has never bothered me. I ran it all the way to 1K with no issues. I...

Suppressors Which primary can for .260

I use my Ultra 9 .30 cal on my .260 and it is wicked quiet. Can't beat the TBAC Ultra's!

    Accutac Bipod

I have been a huge fan of Atlas for many years. I recently sold mine with a rifle build and needed to buy a new one but could not find one in stock. I took a change and purchased an Accutac LR10 QD from Rainier. Wow is this thing well built. I love the look and the QD mount is excellent...

    Grendel Advice...

Early on there were some poorly reamed barrels sold by manufacturers who had no idea what they were doing. A guy on our local forum bought a rifle with a Doublestar barrel that would not shoot. He had no idea what was wrong but I suspected it had a short throat and was jamming all the bullets...

Hiperfire Hipertouch 24C Trigger- AR15 Competition

Me too! I have the light springs in mine with the shoe all the way down. Breaks at 1.8lbs for prone shooting. When I put the shoe all the way up it breaks at 2.8 lbs. Ergonomically it's excellent and the break is light and crisp. I have a G SSA-E and also a 3G in other rifles. I like the...

No this is a Crosshill Tech billet side charge upper with the Spikes Tactical Gen2 Enhanced Ambi Lower. Frankly it's much nicer than a POF. Here is a pic with it after I redid the Cerakote in a custom green color. Below is it is my Spikes Helbreaker which has all top notch parts and a Wilson...

    Grendel Advice...

The Grendel barrel is a 20" Satern and it is sub MOA. I had read there were problems in the past with the Satern barrels being short throated but mine was not. I can seat them out to 2.70 before they get into the lands. The Alexander mags allow 2.60.

    Grendel Advice...

So I just finished my friends Grendel build and he of course wanted Titanium Cerakote too. One of the major man rules is never have matching rifles so I had to redo mine. Hunting season is starting and I plan to hunt with my Grendel so I figured something more "natural" was in order. This is...

    Grendel Advice...

I like the Vortex scopes. I ended up selling the 6-24 PST and am now running a 4-16 HS-T which is much better for hunting. I love the EBR reticles. My build list Spikes Enhanced Gen2 billet Ambi Lower Hiperfire Competition Trigger (LOVE IT) Luth-AR stock JP silent captured spring Cross Hill...

    Grendel Advice...

I'm a Grendel nut too. I'm on my second build. I'm running a 20" Satern 1:8 twist. Shoots the 123 Amax at 2450. By far my favorite rifle. Planning to hunt whitetail with it in Nov. I ran it out to 750 yards with no issues. Consistent hits on ISPC sized plates. Tan out of elevation so I...

    rear bag .. buyers guide/rear bags 101??

I am absolutely in love with my MOA Systems inflatable bag. It works just like a blood pressure cuff. Easy to adjust and in its deflated state packs small. I don't know why more don't use them. I guess if you puncture it then your screwed so maybe it's not "tactical" enough. But for a...

Which AR? les baer, FN, DD, Sig.

Spend once Cry once. Totally overused but still true. If you are only going to hunt varmints then 5.56 is fine. If you plan to hunt anything bigger then look at a larger caliber as suggested. Don't get me wrong 5.56 will kill deer and pigs. I had five under 16 year old hunters for the...
