    My rail was not enclosed with rifle. When I called to get it sent I went round and round with them thinking I was supposed to get a 20moa rail. Several people checked, including some higher ups, and they all confirmed the 10TR comes with a 0moa rail. And thats what they sent me.

    The rail is cheap enough. Its the accustock and heavy barrel that really makes the TR a great value. I think mine 3 mo ago was 450. Gotta find the right dealer that doesnt mark em up too much. :)

    Thanks Ring for that link, nice write up. I hope that was incorrect info though re: Savage discontinuing this rifle. I understood this rife was meant for LEO and thus the full features and absurdly low price. What will we, I mean cops do now? :)

    Very nice Starosta. Hope mine turns out as nice. Got a Vortex PST 6-24 to go on top, still trying to decide on bipod. Loves....congrats on the score. I could be mistaken but I think most all Savages have gone to 5R. If you call Savage with s/n they will confirm it.

    Thanks to you all for the solid info on this rifle...just picked my 10TR today. Very nice and a tremendous value. My scope base wasn't in box but called Savage and they're mailing it out. Looking forward to getting into the LR game with this.

    There is only one 1000 yd range close by. I think its called Manatee Gun range. Somewhere due south of Lakeland, west of Avon Park. If they allow visitors maybe we can shoot a feww sometime. I recently order a savage 10 .308 and hope to dress it out for some LR fun. Later

    Yeah I am beginning to spot this trend about reticle preference. I am also looking for a 16x or 24x and to get moa/moa AND the reticle I like its tough to find one in my price range.     Thanks Mike. I am after the MOA model and appreciate your feedback. For my slow paced shooting, sounds like it will work well on the bench, as well for home defense. It will be replacing my Aimpoint PRO which I like, but I have been yurning for some magnification. Thx
