For every great thing said about a certain optic I can find equally as many people bitching about it. Nightforce, vortex, kahles, zco, s&b, TT, leupold, you name it. Makes it real difficult to choose anything without firsthand experience.
Received my barrel today! Thanks so much for this awesome piece of history! We'll have to talk at some point I'd love to hear anything you know about it. Here it is next to my A4 clone.
I've shot there. That 1k yard target is kind of an afterthought and way up on a mountain so be prepared for it. Hard to get in a comfortable position to shoot it.
I live in the same area and also had the house fumigated about a month ago. Corrosion was something I was worried about and I haven't seen anything on the outside of my firearms. I didn't clean my bolt gun after shooting it last so I should scope the bore on that. I just got some c4 to try out...
Will we ever see the AT available again? Is the AT LE still available for law enforcement purchase? I also heard rumors about the regular AT still being available for law enforcement?
Dumping the AT seems like a stupid move. The whole point of the ATX was supposed to be for the prs market. I don't see the ATX filling the market spot for AT consumers.
I actually do have one someone made me, just forgot about it. I'm going to bring it out next time. My ranges are very similar to that or even higher up.
I didn't know about desert smear until about a week ago. I just ordered an A5-7 and thought about hassling them to see if they would do it in desert smear but just decided to go gap instead. They currently have an A1-3 in "urban smear" available. Not a clone for anything but it looks cool.
I went with the A5-7. For a working gun the butthook is nice but for what I do most of the time I decided I'd prefer to not have it. Looking forward to trying it out.
