It was a bitch getting mine removed. Fairly certain they just went to town with red loctite. Did both heat and water not knowing WTF they used and reading other people's trials doing this. Also fucking Hux uses 1 & 1/16" wrench so you're gonna need a larger crescent or hopefully you go larger...- dms416

I wondered if one could swap or the GFR mk16 rail body is proprietary too. It seemed like a pain to produce a different rail body just for the longer barrel nut.- dms416

I removed the barrel nut on mine and the length of the extrusion/threaded portion is much longer than a standard milspec upper. I imagine that would cause some problems trying to build this without the upper receiver. I wanted to see if I could have gotten away with installing the SOLGW...- dms416

It's pretty unlikely as the barrels they have use a proprietary barrel extension for a proprietary bolt and given the enlongated extension requires a proprietary upper and barrel nut (the Mk16 rail body might be the same but not sure). They could do a 6ARC barrel to normal AR barrel specs, but...- dms416

GAP Gladius commissioned in 2022 as a 308, but sent back to GA for a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel in 2024. Action has about 800 rounds on the odometer (550 factory Lapua 308, 250 factory Lapua 6.5CM) NOTE: the 308 barrel is gone, sold last year. Your experience with the Razor 1-10x on lower mag
I think it's more about the optic and construction but a 5x erector in a 35 or 36mm tube is going to be a more forgiving and better optic. If you're trying to make a specific competitive classification...- dms416
