    Cci 450 vs cci 400

According to this post from this very website, the CCI41 has different anvil geometry than the 450 but is otherwise the same: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/cci-450-vs-cci-41-primers.7042144/ I have no idea if that is true--I don't use the 41 primer. I use 450s almost exclusively.

    Cci 450 vs cci 400

It's not surprising to me at all. There is no need for a magnum primer to shoot 223 with extruded powders, which is what I've been saying all along.

    Cci 450 vs cci 400

I'd be more concerned about hang fires. A good friend of mine and I both bought a bunch of surplus powder. He started having hang fires in his rifle. I had 3-4 jugs of the same powder and never had an issue. I found out later he was using regular small primers and not magnum. The issues...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Concealed or semi concealed carry options for backpacking

Btw: for belt holsters when open carrying, I like Safariland holsters. I believe the one I use is the 7377. It has the ALS system, which in my opinion is the best retention holster there is. It can be immediately and quickly released for a smooth draw, but if someone doesn't know how to use...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Concealed or semi concealed carry options for backpacking

A drop leg rig sucks. The strap will chafe your leg, they're hard to retain a gun from if someone tries to take it from you, and they swing around like crazy. They have one useful purpose, to carry a handgun when you're wearing long body armor. Any time a thigh holster can be avoided, it...

22 Y.O. lawfully armed student defends girlfriend, but dies after shooting robber thrice

No they can't. Prosecutors are absolutely immune. Which is why anyone who isn't a moron would be very careful to never get himself in a situation like that if it can be avoided. That said, there's no real serious doubt about his shooting the lady if the facts are as the media has reported.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Handguns...show 'em

Uh, no. Such people would be laughed off the range at a real competition.

Better to die a man shooting on your feet than live on your knees. We need more men like this.

"AR-15's are weapons of war and designed to kill" Yes. That's why I own them.

A tool for putting holes in things. I normally put holes in paper with it, but if the need should arise, it'll do a find job of putting holes in other things.

    Cci 450 vs cci 400

What's wrong is the same as many factory rifles--the firing pin hole is bigger than it needs to be. As a result, the primer is pushed into it by pressure, it's pretty simple physics. It's also harmless in most cases.

    Ice chest tech

Love my RTIC. Even take it in the 5th wheel when we're out camping to have beer cold and not use the fridge space. I don't have strong feelings about one versus the other, all roto molded coolers are basically the same. I got a deal on the RTIC so that's what I have, the 40 quart I think...

    Cci 450 vs cci 400

I have a rifle that does that with starting loads. Sorry but I'm not sorry for being unwilling to care about it. The spent primer is going in the trash anyway. A load that is not safe with a CCI400 will not become more safe with a thicker cup primer. Over pressure is over pressure...

    Cci 450 vs cci 400

Federal and CCI are owned by the same company. That's why you see that published that way. If you thought they were just advertising a competitor's product, you were wrong about that too. There is nothing wrong with any of the primers listed in the first post. I have fired more CCI450...

I went to a Socialism conference and here are the 6 things I learned

It sounds more to me like these people don't even know what socialism is, they just all wanted to get together and become Marx fanbois. Socialism has nothing to do with gender, gender roles, borders, identity politics, or the environment. Any association between these things is pure...

    Cci 450 vs cci 400

This is how I handle the issue as well. CCI400s are not "low pressure" primers. They are absolutely fine for full power 223. The main reason I went to 450s is that most all of my AR-15 ammunition uses spherical/ball powder, which calls for a magnum primer. In a bolt gun with extruded powder...

Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

Most of this is myth as well. When it comes to metal frames, studies show no measurable difference in frame flex between the three materials you mentioned. Steel has a reputation for being more compliant, but it turns out it's all just cycling myth and not at all based in any actual real...
