    If you do buy an AE don't pay AT price for it. The AE model was introduced in hopes of selling to law enforcement agencies with small budgets.

    I'm only familiar with the AI AT action as a flat bottom design. On the AT rifles Accuracy International bonded the action to the chassis as well as screw/bolt it down. The more recent AI model doesn't bond the action to the chassis but it uses 6 screws/bolts to keep it from shifting.

    Have you removed the firing pin assembly and checked for interference? For example there could be build up of oil or grease. Or the firing pin spring could be dragging inside the bolt body.

    If it's an older 591, no problem. If there is a newer 591, maybe. I believe the older AICS had some interference with a Jewell trigger. It seems the more recent chassis have a little larger opening for various triggers.

    It's generaly very easy. A couple things that would need gunsmith attention is if the recoil lug is thicker than the cutout in the chassis. Or if the trigger or trigger hanger interfere with the cutout in the chassis.

    Sounds like you had some excellent service from these two companies. I can second the recommendation for Shawn Boggeman at Triggered Precision Machine. He's done a couple things for me that were outstanding.

    @R_A_W has a good suggestion. The mandrel die might be installed into the press too far and causing the mandrel die to deform the shoulder.

    That's 0.003", but still might be a clue.
